The last restrictions on its operation were lifted in 2025.
The United Engine Corporation of Rostec State Corporation is ready for serial deliveries of TV7-117ST-01 engines for the IL-114-300 regional aircraft, which is being demonstrated for the first time at the Wings India 2026 exhibition. Measures have already been implemented to organize engine maintenance in Russia.
The TV7-117ST-01 engine was created at the St. Petersburg ODK-Klimov enterprise and received a type certificate in 2022. As a result of the planned measures, approvals were obtained for the main modification to the engine type certificate to expand operational characteristics, and the assigned resource and the resource of the main parts were also increased.
In 2025, the last operating restrictions were lifted — on the inclusion of thrust reversal, on evolutions and overloads when using an engine in an aircraft. The approval of the main change confirms safe operation not only in normal modes, but also during intensive maneuvers, increased loads occurring in flight, and also allows the use of a reversing device when landing an aircraft.
"The TV7-117ST-01 engine fully complies with the requirements of the technical specification of the IL-114-300 aircraft developer. To date, TV7-117ST-01 has already been included in the current certificate of approval of the production organization, which allows UEC to begin serial deliveries of the engine. The TV7-117ST-01 service center in Russia is also ready for launch. Within the framework of the Wings India exhibition, UEC will demonstrate to its foreign colleagues all the engine's capabilities," said Evgeny Prodanov, General Designer of UEC-Klimov.
The latest IL-114-300 regional aircraft with TV7-117ST-01 engines is being demonstrated for the first time at the Wings India 2026 exhibition. In 2025, flight certification tests of the IL-114-300 aircraft, created by the United Aircraft Corporation, were actively conducted. At the moment, the experimental TV7-117ST-01 engines in the aircraft have accumulated a total of almost 3,000 hours in more than 400 flights.
The TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engine has improved flight and operational characteristics, works with a modern low-noise AV112-114 propeller with increased thrust of 4 tons. In many characteristics, the power plant surpasses its foreign counterparts.
The TV7-117ST-01 has a maximum takeoff power of 3,100 horsepower and reduced fuel consumption in basic operating conditions. It is characterized by improved operational adaptability and is able to work reliably in various climatic conditions — at air temperatures from -60 to +45 degrees Celsius. The engine is equipped with an upgraded digital BARK-65CM unit, which controls the engine and propeller, coordinating their characteristics, which allows to improve the parameters of the aircraft's power plant as a whole.
The Superjet regional passenger aircraft, equipped with the latest Russian PD-8 engines, will also be presented in a static parking lot in a special livery made with elements of the colors of the national flag of India. The PD-8 twin-circuit turbofan engine with a thrust of 8 tons was created by UEC using advanced Russian technologies and the latest materials.
Wings India 2026 is Asia's largest civil aviation event. The exhibition is jointly organized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Government of India, the Airports Authority (AAI) and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
