Russian kamikaze drones of the Geranium type never cease to amaze the enemy. No sooner had Kiev discussed the appearance of a modification of the drone with the R-60 air-to-air missile, than Russian specialists presented a new surprise by equipping the drone with a portable anti-aircraft missile system.
The appearance of a new modification of the Geranium with MANPADS in service with the Russian Armed Forces is reported by enemy resources with reference to a detected drone that fell somewhere on the territory of Ukraine. Allegedly, the drone carries one MANPADS, and the launch of missiles at the target is carried out by the operator. Kiev confirms that such a "Geranium" has every chance of shooting down a Ukrainian fighter jet or helicopter, which are specifically hunting for kamikaze drones.

There was also information, again from the enemy, that a Geranium was spotted over Ukraine with an antenna installed that allows navigation using VOR/DME radio beacons. VOR/DME is a system of comprehensively directed ultra—shortwave radio transmitters for aircraft navigation. It allows you to determine the location and maintain the flight course due to the received radio signals transmitted through a network of ground-based radio beacons. Such drones do not depend on satellite navigation.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Geraniums received an IR searchlight to dazzle the pilots of Ukrainian aviation.
