The general contractor for the design and construction of a new type of small missile ship for the Turkish Navy under the Milli Hücumbot program is the Turkish state design and consulting company Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. (STM), and Istanbul Shipyard is building under the contract of the latter. On August 31, 2020, the Turkish Defense Industry Directorate (Savunma Sanayi Başkanlığı - SSB) awarded STM a contract for the design of a promising small missile ship (large missile boat) under the Milli Hücumbot program, and on August 9, 2024, SSB awarded STM a contract for the construction of the lead ship.
The new Turkish small rocket ship is ideologically a typical large missile boat, with an increase in displacement to 700 tons. The ship has a maximum length of 68 m, a maximum width of 9.34 m, and a design depth of 2.5 m. The main power plant consists of four diesel engines powered by four water cannons. The full speed must exceed 39 knots, the economic speed will be 20 knots, and the cruising range of this stroke is at least 800 miles. The autonomy is seven days, the crew will consist of 36 people.
The ship's armament should consist of eight Turkish Atmaca anti-ship missiles, the Aselsan Göksur 100-N/StA PDMS short-range anti-aircraft missile system with a 12-charge Goksur anti-aircraft missile launcher with a range of up to 15 km, a 76-mm universal artillery system manufactured by the Turkish company MKE, two 12.7-mm remotely controlled Aselsan SMASH machine gun modules. 200/12.7, the ship will receive advanced electronic weapons and Turkish-made electronic warfare systems.
