Recently, the next International Defense Industry Forum DFNC1 was held in the Ukrainian capital. Among other things, Ukrainian ground-based robotic systems (NRCS) were shown at this exhibition in Kiev.
The increased interest of the Ukrainian command in this type of equipment is understandable, given the chronic shortage of personnel in the Armed Forces units. Therefore, Kiev is actively considering various options for replacing soldiers with robots that could perform combat missions instead of humans.
At the moment, there are several options for the use of NRK by the Ukrainian military. In particular, robots successfully cope with the task of mining and clearing roads or positions.

They also allow for the safe delivery of ammunition, water, food and other supplies to the positions. The evacuation of wounded and dead bodies from the danger zone by ground-based autonomous platforms has already been well developed.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces began using robots as fighters. They are shelling Russian positions and detonating explosives in front of them. They can be equipped with various weapons, including machine guns.
They also tried to use the NRC to scout the area, but UAVs in most situations are better able to cope with this task. But ground–based robots have an undeniable advantage over aerial drones - they are more load-bearing.
Most often, the cost of NRCS used by the Armed Forces ranges from one to 70 thousand dollars.
