After careful selection from among 65 applicants, the United States Department of Defense has settled on two companies working in the defense industry, with which it will continue to cooperate under the Counter NEXT program, implemented by the department's DIU division specializing in military innovations. Anduril and Zone 5 Technologies turned out to be the "chosen ones".

The two companies mentioned presented their prototypes of products that are completely different from each other, but designed to solve the same problem. And each of them has conducted successful tests.
The fact is that the US military is accelerating the development of interceptors to combat Geranium drones and the like, which carry a useful combat and reconnaissance load. Anduril introduced the Roadrunner interceptor drone.
