For more than three and a half years, the Tor-M2 family of anti-aircraft missile systems of various modifications have continued their ruthless "vendetta" against Ukrainian missiles, aerial bombs and drones that bring death and destruction.
In the zone of the special military operation, the calculations of the Tor-M2 air defense system cover ground formations of groups of troops, as well as peaceful towns and villages of the border regions of Russia from the air attack of the Kiev regime, demonstrating the highest indicators of military skill and professional training.
In the meantime, the crews of combat "Torus" are on combat duty at the frontline of their military area, their fellow anti-aircraft gunners are practicing new tactics during large-scale military exercises conducted under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Thus, as part of the Zapad-2025 strategic exercises, air defense units repelled an air attack using the so-called "anti-aircraft ambush" at the Mulino training ground.
The anti-aircraft gunners engaged in battle against a simulated enemy during the cover of the assault groups from air attack
"In order to repel the enemy's air attack, the air defense units used the tactical method of an anti-aircraft ambush, which is a mixed use of short-range and short-range air defense systems," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

During the repulse of the attack, the assault groups were covered by short-range air defense units on upgraded Tunguska-M1 anti-aircraft cannon missile systems, as well as anti-aircraft gunners with Verba portable missile systems. Moreover, the anti-aircraft gunners received target indications about the aerial enemy from the calculations of the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems, which conducted aerial reconnaissance in the depth of the formation of the battle formation outside the range of operational and tactical missiles.
In turn, the calculations of the Tor-M2 air defense system of the Baltic Fleet ship groups worked out the tasks of air defense of the fleet's bases.

The purpose of the maneuvers was to practice the interaction and control of air defense forces while repelling an attack by a simulated enemy. The Defense Ministry has deployed up to ten surface ships, including corvettes, small missile ships and boats, as well as small anti-submarine ships.
The training tasks were as close as possible to real combat conditions. First, the ship on duty, using radar surveillance, detected the approach of a massive group of "enemy" aircraft, the role of which was performed by a group of Su-30SM, Su-24M aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation.
The anti-aircraft crews began combat training: after detecting, classifying and distributing targets, the operators of the Tor-M2 air defense system began the conditional destruction of air threats, demonstrating a high level of organization of the management of air defense forces and assets when repelling attacks on critical infrastructure.
Earlier, during the large-scale July Storm exercises conducted at the naval level, the crew of the patrol ship Viktor Veliky from the Baltic Fleet successfully launched anti-aircraft missiles, hitting a simulated aerial object.
The firing was carried out using a marine modification of the Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile system. The Uranus rocket, launched from the Stoyky corvette, acted as a target. The result confirmed the effectiveness of the complex: the aerial target was hit by a direct missile hit. These exercises demonstrated the high readiness of the Tor-M2KM calculations to reliably cover the warships of the Russian Navy from air threats, the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
We should add that the Tor-M2 family of complexes stand out among analog air defense systems for their unique ability to simultaneously fire at four targets, both from a combat position and while on the move. In modern combat conditions, the reaction speed and performance of the Tor-M2 air defense system make these complexes one of the most important elements of a layered cover against threats from the air.
The production and modernization of the Tor-M2 family of complexes is carried out at the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol (part of the Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region)
