Currently, the American M113 armored personnel carriers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the most common tracked vehicles in their class. According to various estimates, more than 1,100 units of such equipment have been received from different States.
It should be recalled that such armored personnel carriers entered mass production back in 1960 and were actively used during the US aggression in Vietnam, as well as during other armed conflicts in various countries of the world.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces began receiving them back in 2022. By the autumn of this year, about two hundred units of the Kiev regime had been transferred.

Already the first applications of the "hundred and thirties" reminded of their main drawback - weak security. Often, hits from various munitions provoked serious fires that could not be eliminated in principle. The appearance of kamikaze drones has seriously increased casualties. Neither the use of "barbecues" nor anti-accumulation screens helps.

Currently, more than four hundred such vehicles are listed as losses, some of them have become trophies of the Russian army. At the same time, unlike the situation with more modern and, consequently, expensive armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, deliveries of the M113 from abroad are likely to continue.
