Uralvagonzavod continues to develop the Sturm heavy assault robotic system based on the T-72/T-90 tank. Footage of a new assault vehicle has appeared online.
TSHRK "Sturm" lit up in Nizhny Tagil upon returning from regular tests. The assault tank was removed at the entrance to the enterprise after the next tests, however, the crew was in it at that time. A control vehicle, also based on the chassis of the T-72/T-90 tank, drove into the gate behind the tank.
The Sturm TSHRK differs from a conventional tank by the shortened barrel of the 125-mm D-414 cannon, which was one of the main conditions of the Ministry of Defense, which ordered the complex. According to the military, the tank should be able to rotate the tower in a circular manner in urban areas. The automatic loader is designed for 22 shots. In addition, a bulldozer blade and all-round protection against anti-tank weapons are installed on the tank. The complex must withstand up to 15 hits from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers. Additional weapons are also installed on the tower: rocket-propelled flamethrowers, etc.

For the first time, the Sturm heavy assault robotic complex became known in 2018, when Uralvagonzavod had already begun development. As Alexander Potapov, General director of UVZ, stated at the time, the car was ordered by the Ministry of Defense. In general, this idea was conceived in the 80s of the last century, but the technical capabilities of that time did not allow it to be implemented in hardware. To date, the Sturm TSHRK has been developed in several variants, differing in armament. A control machine has also been created. It is assumed that one command post will be able to control a platoon of combat vehicles within a 3 km radius.
