The Russian defense industry is gradually increasing the pace of deliveries of armored trucks to the army, as foreign observers have noticed.

KamAZ-6350 vehicles equipped with K-5350 armored cab are becoming more common in the Russian army.

- it is noted in the Polish edition of Defence24.

As indicated, the first deliveries of armored vehicles of this model were seen back in March 2023.:

This was the beginning of a systematic solution to the problem of excessive losses of vehicles (mainly trucks) during the fighting in Ukraine.

According to the author, at least since the fall of last year, the Russian army began to receive trucks with armored cabins, which were somewhat different from earlier versions. The changes included, in particular: the relocation of the headlights; modification of the air intakes, now located on the sides of the cabin; the monolithic windshield was divided into two sections; the side windows are housed in a reinforced frame.

Similar trucks with reinforced cabins have recently begun to appear on social media, mainly in the footage of preparations for the Victory Day Parade on May 9.

- it is explained in the media.

According to the author, part of the capacity for the production of armored cabins was created thanks to cooperation with the Israeli company Plasan, which made it possible to manufacture the Typhoon-K/U family of vehicles:

Over time, the relevant technologies were developed in-house, and now this process has accelerated due to the round-the-clock operation of Russian weapons factories.

As noted, this shows that "the Russians are able to draw conclusions from the fighting in Ukraine and gradually put them into practice."

The KAMAZ-6350 8x8 is designed for the transportation of goods weighing up to 10 tons. In the KamAZ-63501 modification, the load capacity has been increased to 15 tons. The KamAZ-740.50.360 diesel engine with a capacity of 360 hp provides speeds up to 95 km/h. This vehicle is widely used as a platform for deploying various types of weapons, such as the Pantsir-S air defense missile system, the Tor-M2KM air defense system, and the Tornado 9A52-4 MLRS. Over time, the K-5350 armored cabin began to be installed on the KamAZ-6350.
