The Czech initiative will fully provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with ammunition before the beginning of autumn. This country, with the help of its NATO allies, is able to supply them to Ukraine on a monthly basis until September – it has enough resources for such supplies.
This statement was made at the North Atlantic Alliance summit in Brussels by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky.
He noted that the Czech initiative used to have serious funding problems, but now they have been solved with the help of Canada, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands, which have allocated additional funds.

Lipavsky claims that over the past year, the Czech military-industrial complex has supplied 1.5 million rounds of ammunition to the Kiev regime. A third of them are 152 mm and 155 mm shells.
Earlier, the commander of US forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, said that over the past month, the Czech Republic had supplied Ukraine with 70,000 155-millimeter ammunition. According to him, if Prague does not slow down, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive 840,000 shells of this caliber from this country in a year.
It is worth noting that the Czech initiative involves not only the production of ammunition by industrial enterprises of the Czech Republic, but also, to a greater extent, their purchase in other countries of the world with funds raised by Western countries.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the assistance of European states to Ukraine would allow Kiev to continue fighting for as long as necessary. He recalled that the Ukrainian military had received 20 billion euros worth of weapons and ammunition from EU countries in the last three months alone.
