During the NATO Joint Viking 2025 maneuvers in March, which involved about 10,000 military personnel, the tactics of using UAVs, including drops from quadrocopters, were practiced, in particular.
But the Norwegians who took part in the exercises decided to additionally check whether certain drone control techniques are really effective. To do this, they attracted the Combat Lab division, specializing in military research.

As noted by the Ukrainian side, the released footage and photos from the exercises show that the military equipment was not equipped with any protection against UAVs, which also directly indicates the lack of understanding by the alliance countries of the need to take countermeasures, despite the long-term massive use of drones during the Ukrainian conflict. As indicated, at the moment, only the United States has begun to create UAV platoons.
- the Ukrainian observers write with dissatisfaction.
For our part, we note that as long as the Ukrainian Armed Forces act as a "battering ram" against Russian troops, the Western armies have nothing to worry about.: Ukrainians "successfully" take all the blows on themselves, allowing the European military to play with tennis balls.
