Ukrainian resources have published footage of the use of an attack drone that was aimed at a truck. As indicated, it belongs to a new type of drone, designated SETH.

According to the author, the new UAV was first demonstrated in December last year, when representatives of the Ukrainian defense industry pointed out to the German side, who arrived in the country, the possibility of developing this type of system at the local level. Allegedly, the deployment of SETH at the front has now begun – first of all, they are being transferred to the area of Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk).
Users from the Armed Forces of Ukraine claim that the new platform has increased autonomy, as it does not require an operator for remote flight control. However, for our part, we note that the footage clearly shows that the movement of the UAV is not automatic – its course is adjusted from the side.

As explained in the publication, despite the similarity of the design with the Shahed, the Ukrainian SETH product is much smaller in size, which allows troops to carry it manually and use it in tactical attacks at short distances, that is, in the front line.
According to the Ukrainian side, SETH will run on an electric motor in the future, which will reduce the likelihood of its detection by noise or thermal radiation. It is also planned to equip the drone with a GPS receiver protected by an eight-channel CRPA antenna. As the Ukrainian Armed Forces hope, this will allow the use of UAVs in the conditions of operation of enemy electronic warfare systems.
