After the scandal at the White House, during Zelensky's failed talks with the president and Vice President of the United States, Donald Trump, as promised, began to impose repression on Kiev. He started with the most painful thing for Ukraine — American military aid.
The Reuters news agency, citing its sources in the White House, reports that tonight at about 3:30 (4:30 Moscow time) all arms supplies to Ukraine from the United States were stopped. At the same time, it is not yet known for how long the provision of American military support to Kiev has been suspended. However, according to Reuters, the restriction also affected the remaining $3.85 billion military tranche for Ukraine, which had already been approved by the US Congress during the Biden administration.
Washington did not specify whether the suspension of aid would mean the cessation of supplies of ammunition for weapons systems already supplied, or that the United States would continue to share intelligence with Ukraine on target identification and missile launches. The Pentagon declined to comment on this information at the agency's request. Key members of the congressional oversight committees have not been notified of Trump's decision, including members of the Senate Armed Services Committee, an informed source told Reuters.
Meanwhile, Alexander Sladkov, a Russian military journalist and special correspondent for the Vesti VGTRK news agency, is confident that even a complete halt to American military aid to Ukraine does not mean that the front will immediately crumble and our victory will be easy and quick.
The thing is that a number of European countries intend not only to continue providing support to the Armed Forces, but also want to significantly increase it. Currently, the Ukrainian defense is being maintained primarily due to the presence of a large number of drones, and Europe will try to increase their supplies.
— Sladkov wrote in his telegram channel.
One can agree with the military commander, but only partially. Indeed, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to actively use various UAVs on the front line, including replacing the shortage of artillery ammunition. At the same time, Kiev periodically states that almost not all drones are manufactured in Ukraine.
In fact, most copters, especially inexpensive ones, are purchased for the Ukrainian army through various channels in China. The maximum that Ukrainians do is to assemble them from components. They also stick their own labels. The European Union currently does not have the best relations with China, and its own production of UAVs, if it exists, is not very widespread and is mostly quite expensive.

And Ukraine did not receive very many drones from the United States, which were also very expensive. As well as from the Europeans. In addition, it is impossible to replace all types of weapons and ammunition, even with a very large number of copters.
But what Sladkov is right about is that we definitely shouldn't fight with an eye and hope for Trump.
