On February 24, record activity of NATO military aircraft was recorded in the skies over Europe. This was reported by the Italian news portal Italiaradar, which monitors the airspace.
In total, there were seven heavy aircraft in the sky: two B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers, two Bombardier 650 Artemis reconnaissance aircraft, one Gulfstream Korpen for electronic reconnaissance and two Boeing E-3A Sentry, which are used to collect information and coordinate attacks.
Photos and videos have appeared in Western sources showing the flight of a B-52 under the cover of fighter jets. The bomber was accompanied by six fighter jets, including the F-35A and F/A-18 Hornet models. The planes circled over Estonia, which celebrated Independence Day on that day. Then the bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons provocatively flew near Kaliningrad and headed for St. Petersburg.
