It instantly reacts to the presence of equipment and people with weapons and has a self-destruct function.
Russia has created the Borshchevik intelligence system, which can detect and track the movement of the enemy at any time of the day and in any weather. It reacts to equipment and people with weapons by detecting changes in the surrounding magnetic field. The novelty can be used on reconnaissance drones or for remote mining. How this development can be used in the SVO zone is described in the Izvestia article.
Magnetic sensor
The Borshchevik system is a complex magnetic sensor that consists of an electronic filling, software and a battery. The novelty can be installed on UAVs for reconnaissance. It can also be used for hidden mining of the area — in this case, mines or other explosive devices pre-equipped with a "Hogweed" are dropped from the drone.
"An important feature of the operation of magnetic sensors is the ability to calibrate them and adjust them to the desired magnetic field ranges," Alexander Lemekh, the founder of the Laboratory of the Future LLC project, told Izvestia. — This allows you to adjust the system to the desired characteristics of the intended target. The system's high-sensitivity settings allow you to see the slightest fluctuations in the magnetic field at a point in space, which makes it possible to record the movement of small ferromagnetic objects. The settings of the "Hogweed" for large automotive or military equipment will allow you to record the presence or absence of large equipment at a certain point. It also allows you to track the movement of vehicles, including unmanned vehicles, in a certain area.

This principle of operation allows you to react imperceptibly to the movement of the enemy — both equipment and personnel. And poor visibility, darkness, or weather conditions are not a hindrance to him.
The developer explained that there are basic batch settings, but each sensor can be reconfigured on-site via a USB interface using the software (software) of the developer company.
The fighters are already using this development in their area and giving positive feedback about it.
According to Alexander Lemekh, the new system complements the functionality of reconnaissance, shock and FPV drones with a detection function.
Remote mining
The capabilities of the Borshchevik make it possible not only to conduct reconnaissance, but also to secretly install smart minefields for the enemy.
The drone can scatter mines or explosive devices equipped with sensors behind enemy lines. The sensor will allow them to be activated depending on the settings when approaching vehicles or personnel.
Moreover, the "Hogweed" can be adjusted to the desired ranges of magnetic fields, which allows you to skip an infantryman, but trigger when a car or tank approaches.
Now the engineering troops are most interested in this development. So, now in the zone of the SVO "Borshchevik" is used for mining tasks, Alexander Lemekh specified.

A drone equipped with a sensor and packed with explosives is effective as a smart munition.: It can be thrown behind enemy lines, where it will wait for the target and hit it at the right time. Moreover, unlike conventional mines, it can be returned in the absence of worthy targets, military expert Yuri Lyamin noted in a conversation with Izvestia.
— Remote mining is carried out using rockets, in particular the "Agriculture" system. In this case, the enemy can see where the mines have fallen and bypass this place. But the drone mines unnoticeably or quietly flies up, sits down and waits," he explained. — The development is interesting — combining a drone with such a sensor looks promising.
Such tools will significantly improve the information picture for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, especially since new information will be received in real time. Dmitry Kornev, a military expert, told Izvestia about this.
— Such combat systems can work as a reconnaissance and strike complex. With the help of drones with this sensor, it is possible to cover some area and analyze which objects are located in this area," he explained. — Based on the data obtained, the reconnaissance operation is either terminated and the UAVs return to their location, or they can also perform a combat mission — to attack the detected objects at the specified coordinates. This is the unique capabilities of this combat system.
Specific tasks for UAVs
In the Russian army, the field of UAV development and use is now actively developing. Earlier, Izvestia wrote that technical and operational UAV units were created in every association, compound and military unit of the Russian group operating in the zone of a special military operation. Non-standard workshops and technical support groups were also organized.

Their personnel are primarily responsible for repairing damaged drones, including captured ones. At the same time, in order to increase the effectiveness of the use of drones, systematic work has been organized to introduce new technologies and improvements.
In these units, existing models are being upgraded in accordance with the specifics of the theater of military operations. If necessary, special samples of equipment are produced that allow solving specific combat missions.
The troops operate a large number of unmanned systems, so they cannot do without repair shops, military expert Alexei Leonkov told Izvestia.
"At the beginning of the military special operation, most of the UAVs — primarily, of course, the copter type — were supplied by volunteers," he recalled. — They also served them. And a lot of things related to drones happened spontaneously three years ago.
According to him, UAVs are now playing a major role in the war zone, they are being massively used, and their number will only grow.
