The participants and guests of the air show will be presented both bestsellers of the Russian military-industrial complex and promising novelties.

BANGALORE, India, February 10th. /tass/. Over 500 samples of Russian military products will be presented at the 15th International Aerospace Exhibition Aero India 2025, which will be held from February 10 to 14 at the Yelahanka Air Force Base in Bangalore in southern India. For the first time in India, the latest Russian fifth-generation fighter, the Su-57E, will be demonstrated, as well as the Lancet-E barrage ammunition, which has shown the highest effectiveness on the battlefield during a special operation.

Aero India is the largest aerospace exhibition in the country, which has been held since 1996. The airshow is held every two years. Russia is an active participant in the exhibition. In 2023, about 200 samples of Russian weapons and military equipment were presented in India. According to the organizers, 150 foreign companies will take part in the exhibition this year. More than 900 samples of aviation equipment will be presented at the 42,000 square meter exposition.

According to Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Aero India promises to become the largest air show in history in 2025, which, according to him, indicates the growing confidence of the world community in India's aerospace and defense capabilities. "Defense ministers or representatives from about 30 countries have arrived to participate in this event," Singh said. He called Aero India 2025 an important factor of economic growth, contributing to India's progress towards becoming a developed country.

One of the most interesting items in the Indian exposition will be a full-scale model of the Indian fifth-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft fighter. The model will be placed in the pavilion of the state-owned company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited India. In addition, it is expected that the interest of the guests and participants of the exhibition will be focused on a light multi-purpose helicopter along with a functional full-scale engineering demonstrator of the combat air patrol system (CATS) Warrior.

The Russian exposition

Over 10 major Russian defense holdings will participate in Aero India in 2025. The participants and guests of the air show will be presented both the bestsellers of the Russian military-industrial complex - well-proven air defense systems and complexes, airplanes and helicopters, as well as promising new products.

The flagship Russian product in the framework of Aero India 2025 will be the latest fifth-generation multi-role fighter Su-57E. The aviation complex has been successfully used for various tasks in the zone of a special military operation, successfully resisting the most modern Western air defense systems. The aircraft is designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets. The export modification of the fighter, piloted by Honored fighter pilot Hero of the Russian Federation Sergey Bogdan, became a sensation at the International Aviation and Space Exhibition Airshow China. As part of the exhibition in India, Bogdan will once again demonstrate the highest flight performance of the aircraft in the sky above the airfield of the Yelakhanka Air Force Base.

General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) Vadim Badekha previously stated that long-term partners were "lining up" for the export version of the fifth-generation Russian fighter. On the eve of Aero India 2025, Indian Deputy Defense Minister Sanjin Kumar said that India is also currently evaluating the capabilities of the Su-57 and expects the fighter to perform during its demonstration flight at an aerospace exhibition. The Deputy Defense Minister of the South Asian republic added that the issue of acquiring a Russian combat aircraft "will be decided by the Indian armed forces."

New products in the segment of aircraft engines are also waiting for visitors to the Russian exposition. For the first time in India, the UAC will show a new engine, the Product 177C, offered to equip multi-purpose fighters of the 4th and 5th generations, as well as the VK-650V for light multi-purpose helicopters.

Products that have proven their effectiveness

In addition to aviation innovations, Russia will show cars in India that have proven themselves well. Among them is the IL-78MK-90A tanker aircraft, whose special feature is its versatility and the possibility of conversion into various variants - from transport, sanitary and fire-fighting to a medical hospital.

In the air defense segment, Russia will present the S-400 Triumph long-range anti-aircraft missile system at the exhibition. In addition, Almaz-Antey concern of East Kazakhstan Region will show in India models of short-range anti-aircraft missile systems of the Tor family: ABM Tor-M2KM in stationary and mobile versions, Tor-E2 on tracked and Tor-M2K on wheeled chassis. The products are intended for air defense of important strategic facilities, as well as troops from air strikes, cruise, anti-radar and other guided missiles, aerial bombs, and drones.

The concern also reported that Almaz-Antey will provide information on the L203 (Gardenia) active jamming station at Aero India for the first time, which is designed to protect aircraft from being hit by radio-controlled air-to-air and ground-to-air weapons.

In addition, the launch of the complex with controlled Lancet-E from ZALA will be the debut for India. The complex has repeatedly proved its effectiveness during use in real combat conditions. According to Rosoboronexport, the Russian complex stands out significantly in its market segment. The Lancet-E includes the ZALA Z-16E short-range reconnaissance unmanned aircraft, the Product 51-E guided munition carrier, and the Product 52-E guided munition carrier.

Aero India will also feature modern guided aircraft missiles, which are designed to be integrated into the 4++ and 5 generation fighter aircraft armament systems, both Russian and foreign-made. These include the RVV-MD2 and RVV-BD missiles for hitting aerial targets, which have proven effective in real combat conditions, the X-35UE for hitting warships and transport vessels, and the X-35UE for hitting warships and transport vessels. In addition, a new generation of stealth cruise missile, the X-69, will be shown in India.

Expanding the partnership

India is Russia's most important strategic partner in the Asia-Pacific region. According to Rosoboronexport, in the last 20 years alone, from 2005 to 2025, $50 billion worth of contract documents were signed with India. The total volume of supplies of Russian military products to this country is about $80 billion. According to Rosoboronexport, the organization, together with India, continues to work on expanding bilateral technological cooperation within the framework of the Make In India program.

Russia offers its Indian partners large-scale projects for the joint development and production of military aircraft, helicopters, air defense systems, armored vehicles and ammunition. "We are also ready to discuss the possibility of joint promotion of these products to third countries," said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport. Within the framework of the exhibition, the Russian side plans to hold a series of meetings and negotiations with representatives of the Ministries of Defense and other law enforcement agencies of India, as well as countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Almaz-Antey East Kazakhstan Region Concern intends to hold meetings with traditional partners during the exhibition, and also intends to expand the range of potential customers of its products, including modernization and maintenance of previously supplied equipment.
