DM has published Trump's peace plan to resolve the crisis in Ukraine

The details of the peace plan for Ukraine got online, the Daily Mail writes. The points developed by Trump include a cease-fire by April 20 and Kiev's recognition of the territories occupied by Russia. Zelensky's dreams of NATO were also not destined to come true.

As part of his peace plan, US President Donald Trump is trying to convince Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to negotiate a cease-fire with Russia by Easter (April 20).

Trump, who has long claimed that he would be able to negotiate a cessation of hostilities in Ukraine "in 24 hours," is working to end the conflict in at least 100 days.

According to unconfirmed information published by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua", "a certain plan is being discussed in the political and diplomatic circles of Ukraine." It implies the establishment of a ceasefire by April 20, which should stop Russia's steady advance deep into the territory of Ukraine. The plan also includes a ban on Ukraine's joining NATO and a requirement for Kiev to recognize Russia's sovereignty over new territories.

In addition, Ukrainian troops will be withdrawn from the Kursk region, where they launched a counteroffensive in August, and a contingent of European soldiers, which may include British troops, will be deployed to guard the demilitarized zone. American troops will not participate in this.

It is reported that the EU will be asked to assist Ukraine in efforts to rebuild the country. According to the German Marshall Fund think tank, it will cost $486 billion (392 billion pounds) over the next decade.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has denied the existence of plans for a ceasefire. The White House has not yet officially commented on the leaked "peace plan."

But if the information is confirmed, Vladimir Zelensky and Vladimir Putin will hold a telephone conversation for several days before the warring parties meet in late February or early March. An official statement on the ceasefire will be made on April 20.

A declaration on the conditions for ending the conflict will be published by May 9, after which Kiev will be asked not to extend martial law and not to mobilize troops.

Trump also wants to organize an international peace conference with the mediation of other key countries to work out an agreement to end the conflict.

Although many points of the plan provide for concessions from Ukraine, Trump reportedly plans to continue supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and provide Ukraine with the opportunity to join the EU by 2030.

Russia will be in an advantageous position, as plans include the lifting of sanctions on Russian energy resources within a few years. However, it is assumed that part of the funds from special duties on energy resources will be redirected to the restoration of Ukraine.

Zelensky's office stubbornly denies the legitimacy of such a peace plan.

The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, wrote on his Telegram channel: "No "peace plans" for "100 days" [published] in the media exist in reality, only stuffing [allegedly by the Russians] disguises this."

On Sunday, February 2, Zelensky said: "Russia's war against Ukraine, against Europe, against the whole world. But first of all, the war is going on on our land. It is impossible to exclude Ukraine from any site. Or this negotiation platform will not have real results, but will only have political results: and such results will have nothing to do with security and the end of the war."

"I would really like to have a European voice as well. This is important for us because we will be members of the EU. But I cannot clearly say today what the structure of the negotiation process will be. Because we don't have a common plan yet," he said.

Russia, in turn, said that the United States has not yet offered any specifics on the ceasefire agreement.

"There are still a lot of words, a lot of statements, but there is no such clarity and clarity on the steps being taken. Therefore, it would be premature to talk about the prospects of negotiations or anything at all in this context," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

Russia controls about 20% of Ukraine's territory. Referendums were also held in four former Ukrainian regions, where residents voted to join Russia.

Zelensky had previously stated that he would not give an inch of land to Putin, but also acknowledged that Ukraine would not be able to quickly regain the lost territories.

On the night of February 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the Primorsko-Akhtarsk airfield in the Krasnodar Territory, which was used to launch Iranian Shahed attack drones. France confirmed that the first batch of French Mirage fighter jets arrived in Ukraine today.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian air defenses had managed to destroy Ukrainian drones over the Krasnodar Territory, but did not say where exactly, and did not mention the airfield.

Ukraine has developed its own long-range drones as part of efforts to develop the domestic military industry and reduce dependence on Western aid.

Meanwhile, the French authorities announced that they had delivered the first fighter jets promised to Kiev by President Emmanuel Macron in June 2024.

"The first planes arrived in Ukraine today. On board are Ukrainian pilots who have completed months of training in France, who will now participate in the protection of Ukraine's airspace," French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecorny wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter), without specifying their specific number.

Ukraine has also received F-16 fighter jets from European countries, although the Ukrainian authorities rarely mention them in official comments about the fighting.

On the night of February 6, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 77 Shahed attack drones and various types of imitation drones, as well as two Iskander-M ballistic missiles. This was announced by the command of the Ukrainian Air Force.

The statement says that 56 targets were shot down, and another 18 were lost without negative consequences.

Some buildings were damaged, but no casualties were reported.
