In eight months, the Turkish company SAVX Technology has developed a Merküt FPV drone capable of hitting armored vehicles.
The kamikaze drone has a flight duration of 20 minutes and a range of up to 8 km. The UAV with an IR camera is equipped with guided fragmentation ammunition containing about 950 damaging antipersonnel elements. Its key feature is the automatic detonator, which allows the operator to set the detonation distance from 20 cm to 5 m. According to the developer, the drone's design is rain-resistant.

Much attention was paid to operator safety. The drone is equipped with a dual actuation mechanism, mechanical and electronic, to prevent accidental detonation in the event of a malfunction or cancellation of the mission. If necessary, the UAV can be returned for further use.
The company is currently creating an armor-piercing version, as well as exploring the possibility of installing a fiber-optic cable and developing algorithms for detecting and tracking targets that can ease the operator's work and increase the effectiveness of strikes.
