The work of defense enterprises and the supply of reinforcements and equipment to the free zone have been paralyzed.
On December 25, the Russian armed forces attacked critical Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities that support the operation of the military-industrial complex (MIC). Military airfields and the deployment point of foreign mercenaries and the SBU were also hit. Experts note that such strikes stop the work of military-industrial complex enterprises and prevent the enemy from supplying equipment, ammunition and other important goods to the front.
An attack on enemy power facilities, factories and airfields
On the morning of December 25, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive strike on critical Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities that support the operation of the military-industrial complex. It was inflicted by high-precision long-range weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The target of the strike has been achieved. All objects have been hit," the Russian military department stressed.
The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that aircraft, attack UAVs, rocket troops and artillery destroyed the deployment point of foreign mercenaries and the SBU, damaged the infrastructure of military airfields, as well as enemy manpower and military equipment in 140 areas.

During the past night, 59 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty: 26 UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Belgorod region, 23 over the Voronezh Region, three UAVs each over the territories of the Kursk, Bryansk and Tambov regions and one over the waters of the Sea of Azov, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In total, during the day, the Russian air defense shot down 119 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, the Russian military department noted.
The Ukrenergo energy company reported that due to damage to the infrastructure in the country, restrictions have been imposed on consumers and industry. The Ukrainian energy holding company DTEK reported damage to equipment at its thermal power plants after the explosions.

Ukrainian power engineers warned that the volume of restrictions may change during the day, and urged the population not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time.
The Russian Defense Ministry's official statement did not say that it was a retaliatory strike, which means that it was carried out as part of a planned and systematic work on Ukraine's military infrastructure, Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Roman Shkurlatov, chairman of the board of the all-Russian organization Officers of Russia, told Izvestia.
"Attack UAVs, ballistic, X—101 air–to-surface missiles and sea—based Kalibr cruise missiles were used," he noted. — As far as I know, we have managed to penetrate the enemy's air defenses in a number of regions. Most of the targets were hit in Dnepropetrovsk and the region, as well as in a number of other regions. In addition to electricity generation, thermal capacities were also affected, and arrivals on the gas infrastructure were also recorded. The extent of the damage can be judged by the fact that additional power outages have begun throughout Ukraine.

The expert noted that many facilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex were de-energized.
"It means that the process of manufacturing or repairing military products has stopped," he said. — At the same time, I want to note that the entire infrastructure has not been brought down, although there is such an opportunity, we know how to do it. For humane reasons, we spare the civilian population.
Such strikes not only stop the work of military-industrial complex enterprises, but also prevent the supply of equipment, ammunition and other goods to the front that are necessary for conducting military operations, military expert Viktor Litovkin told Izvestia.

"They also have a strong impact on the moral and psychological state of the Ukrainian population," the expert explained. — From there it is transmitted to the front. People in Ukraine are gradually beginning to realize that they have nothing to expect, it's time to give up. There is a systematic push for this country to capitulate.
Viktor Litovkin drew attention to the fact that our troops are increasingly covering the locations of foreign mercenaries.
"Due to the shortage of soldiers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mercenaries are being sent to the country more and more often, they are being sent to the front line," he noted. — What we manage to find and destroy is very important. Mercenaries often exploit sophisticated military equipment that comes from Western countries. This refers to such systems as the HIMARS MLRS, Patriot air defense systems and other equipment. All military-technical literature is written in English using military-technical vocabulary, and practically no one in Ukraine knows it.
Recent attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure
On December 13, the Russian Armed Forces attacked Ukraine's infrastructure in response to the attack on the Taganrog airfield by American ATACMS long-range missiles, which followed two days earlier. During this time, additional reconnaissance of targets and measures to deplete the enemy's air defenses were carried out. The Ukrainian side stated that one of the largest strikes on the country's energy sector had been carried out that day.
At that time, explosions were reported in Odessa, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Cherkasy regions. In addition, they were heard in Kiev, Kremenchuk, Kharkov, as well as in the Kiev, Lviv, Ternopil, Kharkiv and Khmelnitsky regions.
Izvestia wrote that after our attack with missiles and UAVs, power outages began in Western Ukraine and the enemy requested electricity imports from five neighboring countries.

On November 28, the Russian Armed Forces launched a comprehensive strike with 90 missiles and 100 drones. At that time, 12 military installations on the territory of Ukraine were hit.
In late November, a new Russian medium-range ballistic missile, the Oreshnik, was tested in response to attacks on Russian territory by American missiles. She struck the Southern Machine-building Plant (Yuzhmash) in Dnepropetrovsk. The latest munition was fired from the territory of the Kapustin Yar military training ground in the Astrakhan region, and it reached the city in the center of Ukraine in a few minutes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the strike on November 21, noted that all modern air defense systems available in the world and missile defense systems being created in Europe are not capable of intercepting such missiles.
