"Stork-2T" has passed the next tests
The stage of firing tests of the engine of the latest Aist-2T spacecraft has been successfully completed on the basis of the Progress Rocket and Space Center.
As specified in Roscosmos and Progress, the burning of the correction system of the new Stork demonstrated the full functionality of the power plant — it passed the test on all possible operating modes without any comments. Roscosmos even called the burn "excellent." By the way, to conduct these tests at the space center's facilities, specialists deployed new, more modern equipment, upgraded existing ones, and developed a special methodology for accurately determining test results and analyzing them.

The devices of the Aist-2T model are designed for stereoscopic imaging of the Earth's surface and are capable of creating a three-dimensional model of it. A pair of such satellites can prepare high-quality digital terrain models, as well as monitor the occurrence of emergencies. It is worth noting that the latest Storks are based on developments on the experimental Aist-2D satellite, which has been in orbit for about eight years and only completed its work in the spring of this year, twice exceeding the design time.
