The American company Kratos Defense has successfully conducted extended flight tests of the XQ-58A Valkyrie drone, which allegedly showed the system's ability to interact with manned fighters and perform complex tasks.
The XQ-58A is designed to enhance the strike power of fighters by identifying targets, targeting them, or defeating them independently. The UAV uses a tactical data link for the constant exchange of information in a single network. Within the framework of the "faithful wingman" concept, it should increase the operational flexibility, survival and lethality of manned aircraft.

Valkyrie has an unobtrusive profile, which reduces the likelihood of radar detection. The aerodynamic design minimizes EPR while maintaining high flight characteristics.

During testing, the UAV was controlled both from fighter aircraft and from ground systems. The ability of several drones to be under the control of a single operator was demonstrated. The modular design of the XQ-58A allows it to be equipped with various payloads, including reconnaissance sensors, electronic warfare equipment and precision-guided munitions.
