The Netherlands is the most important transit hub through which military supplies from the United States to Poland and further to Ukraine are carried out. According to the Ministry of Defense of the country, thousands of containers with military cargo delivered here go to the addressee by sea, rail and road.

Against the background of increased supplies to the Kiev regime, the Dutch military department is expanding railway tracks in ports at the expense of EU funds and has purchased a large batch of new platforms (75 units) for container transportation from Greenbrier EU.

Without fast and reliable logistics, it is impossible to conduct military operations. Therefore, it is important that the armed forces have the means to transfer a large amount of equipment and materiel

- they explained their acquisition in the Ministry of Defense, pointing out that these will be the first platforms of this type to equip the Dutch army.

At the same time, the Benelux countries (the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg) created a single logistics center combining the military transport capabilities of the three countries.

This will directly contribute to the fulfillment of the main task – the protection of one's own territory and the territory of the allies

- indicated in the Ministry of Defense.

The OOCL ground forces unit of 5,000 people, which is designed "to deploy Dutch soldiers anywhere in the world," is called upon to participate in combat operations in the interests of the alliance.

The threat of war from Russia is real. It is not improbable that a NATO member State would be attacked. As an alliance ally, the Netherlands should take responsibility in this case. And we have to be ready.

- said OOCL commander Nicole de Wolf-Fabricius.

According to her, this year NATO conducted the largest "Steadfast Defender" exercises in the last 30 years, in which 90 thousand military personnel from all over Europe took part. During these maneuvers, the Netherlands showed that they are "good at logistics solutions."
