Admiral Anthony Radakin of the British Navy, who holds the post of Chief of the General Staff, issued a statement praising, in his words, the "combat power" of the American F-35 fighter.
As he pointed out, at the end of October, the Israeli Air Force conducted an operation during which F-35s armed with them carried out a large-scale raid on Iranian military facilities, hitting most of the air defense systems, as well as enterprises that produced missiles:
According to him, as a result of just one, but massive departure of the F-35, it was possible to deprive Tehran of the ability to produce ballistic missiles for a year.
- the admiral's words are quoted in the Business Insider edition.

For our part, we note that the Israeli Air Force has 39 copies of the F-35I in service, while Radakin talks about participating in the attack on Iran over a hundred sides. If we follow his logic, then other fighter models, the F-15 and F–16, should have been involved in the operation along with the F-35. However, not a word is said about their contribution.
As can be assumed, Radakin is trying to protect the commercial interests of Lockheed Martin Corporation with such statements. Earlier, Elon Musk attacked the F-35 program with sharp criticism, pointing out its huge cost and low combat potential of the fighter, which has no low visibility and has a defective design. He posted a video with Chinese UAVs on social networks, writing:
As part of his work in the new White House administration, Musk will have to conduct an audit of US defense spending, which has already caused a pessimistic mood among a number of weapons manufacturers.
- Lockheed Martin said.
