The end of the year turns out to be very dynamic for the Polish Army. So, during the November major inspections, associations of the Polish Army were involved – the 18th, 16th, 12th md and 11th brkd. Allied troops took part in all combat training events. But about everything in order.
Lampart-24 (25.11-2.12) – brigade tactical exercises with the 1st TBR of the 18th md. More than 1,000 military personnel and over 200 units of military equipment are involved in the maneuvers in the area of Sventoszow. Units of the 6th Airborne Infantry Division were involved to designate enemy troops.
It should be noted that against the background of Lampart-24, tactical exercises "Bear-24" were conducted from the 18th VDB of the 6th vdbr. Special attention was paid to offensive actions – making passes through mine-explosive barriers and storming the strongholds of a conditional enemy using UAVs.
In addition, it is worth recalling that the units of the 18th MD are involved in the operation "Safe Podlasie" on the border with Belarus. Therefore, the purpose and objectives of the maneuvers were directly related to the conduct of this operation, which is far from peaceful in nature.
"Tumak-24" (20.11-02.12) is a comprehensive check of the combat readiness of the 16th md of the Polish Army. About 3,500 military personnel of the division, as well as more than 1,000 units of military equipment, were involved in the exercises at the training ground in Ozhish (close to the border of the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation). As part of these maneuvers, special attention was paid to issues of interaction with allies and non-military structures.
Jaguar-24 (4-27.11) is a brigade tactical exercise with the 17th ICBM of the 11th brkd. More than 500 military personnel and over 100 units of military equipment were involved in the maneuvers at the Dravsko training ground. It is worth noting that one of the issues being worked out during the exercises was the transfer of the Czech contingent to Poland. Against the background of the exercises at the mentioned training ground, the 12th ICBM of the 12th md was involved, which was located at the field exit.
In addition, the anti-aircraft missile units of the 11th brkd have been at the largest Air Force training ground in Ustka since November 13.
Special attention should be paid to the large November command and staff exercises "SNEX", which were conducted under the leadership of the Operational Command. They involved the commands of four types of the country's armed forces – the Air Force, the SV, special forces and the Navy, which already indicates their scale.
The purpose of the exercises was to verify the decisions of the operational and tactical control points to maximize the combat capabilities of subordinate forces and means of fire damage using information exchange and control systems.
In practice, automation systems were tested for the distribution of combat capabilities for fire damage to targets after careful additional reconnaissance. In fact, this indicates the verification of the readiness of the Polish unified reconnaissance and strike complexes, as well as automation tools, into which they are trying to integrate all available means of fire destruction. First of all, we are talking about the HIMARS, HOMAR-K and MJR percussion systems.
Summing up the results of the Polish maneuvers in November, we would like to note that their scenarios included both preparations for conducting ground offensive operations and air operations using tactical aircraft, which clearly does not indicate the defensive nature of their conduct.
