To protect Ukrainian facilities from Russian strikes, the Netherlands supplied Ukraine with three launchers for the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. Kiev will need them, as it is going to be a difficult winter.

Brekelmans said that the supply of air defense equipment from the Netherlands would save lives and protect the Ukrainian infrastructure. According to him, stopping the "Russian aggression" is important for both Kiev and Amsterdam.
According to the German news agency DPA, Germany intends to deploy its Patriot air defense systems in Poland. It is assumed that their location will be in the vicinity of the city of Rzeszow, near the airfield, which has long served as the main logistics hub for the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian military.

The Patriot air defense system is capable of hitting aerial targets at a distance of up to 80 kilometers at a maximum altitude of 24 kilometers.
A week earlier, the Dutch Defense Ministry announced that the delivery of 18 promised F-16 fighter jets to the NATO training center in Romania had been completed – the last two aircraft had arrived on site. They will be used to train military pilots from different countries, including Ukraine.
