The tank from the DPRK shown four years ago, known as the "Cheongma-2" or M2020, is currently already being mass-produced. He is often referred to as the North Korean "Armata". Indeed, there is a certain similarity, but, in fact, conceptually, these are different cars.
In a Russian tank, a crew of three is located in the front of the hull, in a model created in North Korea, people are traditionally placed: the driver is in the hull, and the gunner is the operator, commander and loader are in the turret.

Yes, the M2020 does not have a charging machine. Why? It is difficult to answer this question, but if they wanted to install a mechanism similar to what is available on the T-72, they could without problems. At the same time, judging by the photos, a part of the ammunition is placed in the niche of the tower. There are knock-out panels in the roof.
It is still not known exactly which weapon was used: 115-mm or 125-mm. A very powerful addition is the externally mounted launchers of Bulsae-3 anti-tank guided missiles with laser guidance. With the help of these ATGMs, for example, it is easy to hit the "Abrams" and "Leopards-2" available from the APU.

The North Koreans have managed to establish the production of modern fire control systems, which use thermal imagers. Another novelty is the active protection complex, it has also been successfully tested and installed on tanks.

According to many military experts, the Cheonma-2 is a very formidable opponent, given the long service life of the DPRK military, they will be able to maximize the available potential of their combat vehicles.
