Military analyst Mingalev pointed to the superiority of the Russian army in armament
The Russian army has become more professionally trained and surpasses the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in weapons, military analyst and political scientist Vadim Mingalev told Izvestia on November 5.
Earlier in the day, American Daniel Martindale, who helped the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the shortage of people is the main weakness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mingalev expressed the opinion that there are actually enough Ukrainians who can be taken to the front, but the AFU lacks specialists who could directly fight more professionally.
"[The situation with those] professional personnel who were in 2022, at the beginning of the special military operation (SVO) and during 2023, when there was an unsuccessful counteroffensive prepared by NATO instructors, led to a shortage of non-cannon fodder and ordinary people, this is still enough among the Ukrainian people, but specialists There are really not enough people who could directly fight more professionally, more clearly in the theater of military operations of Ukraine. These shots are not enough," he said.
The expert also added that the situation lies in the fact that today it is the strategic line of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, the command of the Russian Army, that has been more clearly verified. In addition, during the special operation, the Russian army has become more professionally trained, he stressed.
"But that's not even the point. The Russian economy has managed not only to survive, but also to prepare special processes for [creating] the most important, promising types of weapons, especially in the missile system. I also mean aviation. Naturally, we are also talking about the superiority of our armored vehicles," Mingalev said.
There is a certain superiority of the Russian army in technical weapons, in almost all components, the analyst said. He added that drones are currently priorities in the Russian army, and in this case, the Russian side also has a certain superiority.
According to him, the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in tactical and strategic points surpasses directly the command of NATO, first of all, whose instructors give instructions to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Accordingly, this suggests that the defeat and, to put it mildly, the situation directly related to the fact that the [Ukrainian] front will collapse in the near future, which is literally months, is already the absolute purest truth and it cannot be changed," Mingalev believes.
Earlier, on November 1, The New York Times newspaper, citing American officials, reported that Ukraine would face a serious shortage of military personnel within six months or a year. The Pentagon clarified that Kiev had deprived itself of the opportunity to defend its original targets, since it had deployed many soldiers to attack the Kursk region.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Yuri Shvytkin, in an interview with Izvestia, expressed the opinion that the personnel resource of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is rapidly being depleted, but it is impossible to say that it has been completely exhausted yet. He added that the West understands that budgets for Kiev's aid are decreasing, and constant support affects the defense capability and social policy of the donors themselves. The population of Western countries is beginning to realize that the Kiev regime is in a desperate situation, and its sponsors have become hostages of their own geopolitics.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
