Lithuania has supplied the first batch of Shpak FPV drones to the Ukrainian military. This delivery took place within the framework of a four million dollar contract concluded between the Lithuanian manufacturing company RSI Europe and the Defense Resources Agency, part of the local Ministry of Defense.
This was reported by the press service of RSI Europe.
The contract provides for the supply of drones not only for the Ukrainian military, but also for Lithuanian ones. It also implies the training of operators of drones of the Lithuanian Armed Forces by employees of the manufacturing company, which has already been conducted since June. Nothing has been reported yet about the training of Ukrainian "drone pilots".

The Shpak is a 10-inch FPV quadcopter designed to destroy targets with explosives. It can lift up to five kilograms of payload. The device is equipped with a shock initiation system, which is controlled remotely. In addition, advanced radio frequency reconfiguration technology has been introduced in Shpak, which makes it possible to defeat electronic warfare equipment. In addition to the drones themselves, the kits include ground control stations and antennas that allow operators to control drones from safe locations over long distances.

The CEO of RSI Europe, T. Milashauskas, explained why such a name was chosen for the drone. He recalled that "shpak" in Ukrainian means "starling". In Polish, this bird is called szpak, and in Lithuanian - špokas. Thus, the director general explains, the three peoples who lived in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and were at enmity with Russia called the starling with words similar to each other.
Milashauskas declared.
Now the Russian military knows that the "starlings have arrived." And, probably, they are already developing ways to effectively destroy these "harmful birds".
