Western countries have replaced strikes with their weapons deep into Russian territory with a tranche of $800 million for the collective production of all types of UAVs in Ukraine, including long-range attack drones. Dmitry Kuzyakin, Director General of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CCDB), expressed this opinion to TASS.
"The other day, news came out about the allocation by the West of huge targeted funds for the Ukrainian collective production of UAVs of all types. The part of this tranche that is open to the public is $800 million. For comparison, this is more than 77 billion rubles. Whatever the initial plans in Zelensky's plan, there was a clear signal from the West: we will not give permission for strikes with ordinary types of weapons, but we will start heartily financing your production of UAVs of all types. Unfortunately, we should expect a significant increase in the arrivals of enemy long-range attack UAVs at our facilities in the coming months and a multiple saturation of the front with all types of enemy drones, including FPV drones," Kuzyakin said.
He recalled that one of Zelensky's demands to Western political elites was "permission" to strike with long-range weapons deep into the territory of Russia. "We are talking about strikes by Western cruise missiles and ballistic non-nuclear missiles. Zelensky put the Western establishment in a difficult position with this demand. Such a resolution would be a violation of the next red lines in our already broken relations with the West. In other words, such a decision could surely be regarded as the direct participation of NATO countries in strikes against us. And the Russian political leadership, represented by the president, said this directly," Kuzyakin stressed.
The head of the Central Bank noted that, despite the fact that the conflict in Ukraine is relatively local in nature, the number of participants involved in it is truly global. "Many transnational economic structures depend on supplies of raw materials, metals, fertilizers and other important resources from Russia. Russia remains a full-fledged actor in international politics and economics. We are not even close to implementing all possible retaliatory measures at the level of international trade," the expert said.
Kuzyakin also urged not to discount the escalation of the conflict to the use of "more powerful and ultimatum" types of weapons from the Russian side, which cannot be ignored. "In this case, the situation is difficult to predict, which means that such a development does not suit anyone. As a result, the West made an alternative proposal to Zelensky's demand. And it is possible that Zelensky initially counted on this alternative, twisting the hands of his Western curators. It's not for nothing that Trump calls him the best seller in history. The West had to buy off the need to give such permission," he said.
Escalation of the conflict
The Director General of the Central Bank stressed that in this way the political leadership of the NATO countries achieved two goals: they avoided a delicate situation with their direct participation in the war against Russia and avoided much more spending on the production and supply of expensive weapons to Ukraine - cruise missiles and non-nuclear ballistic missiles. "And the administration of Ukraine received an unspoken signal from the West about the beginning of an escalation of the conflict in the form of a proxy war, where all the variety of UAVs on a new technological platform will act as striking means: These are FPV drones, long-range aircraft of all types, and unmanned boats," Kuzyakin said.
The expert noted that, despite the non-participation of the West in direct strikes on the territory of Russia, one cannot ignore the "undisguised sponsorship of the artel production of attack drones by Ukraine itself." "The damage caused by the mass of long-range trucks produced daily from the territory of Ukraine in Murmansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Zhukovsky and other cities cannot be ignored. According to the totality of the damage, these strikes, without exaggeration, can be commensurate with the strikes of conventional cruise missiles, which, by the way, are easier to shoot down. The participation of the West in the intensification of drone production in Ukraine and the multiple increase in their strikes on our territory still makes them direct participants in the conflict. Such participation is not so different from permission to use their long-range weapons of destruction," said the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
