The Russian Aerospace Forces lost the first reconnaissance and strike drone "Pacer" ("Orion") since the beginning of the special operation, the UAV was shot down over the Kursk region. Pictures of the fallen drone were posted by Ukrainian resources.
The Russian Pacer UAV was shot down with the help of the Strela-10 air defense system from the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was recently transferred from Chasov Yar to the Kursk region. The fallen drone was almost completely burned down, so the enemy got only burnt debris.
As our resources suggest, the drone was carrying X-UAV missiles (TKB-1030). With these missiles, the Pacer was quite confident in destroying enemy armored vehicles and weapons in the border regions. To date, the number of destroyed tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled guns and towed guns has already exceeded 50 units.
