The uniqueness of the new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) lies in its versatility, high noise immunity and long use time, the press service of the government of the Sakhalin Region told reporters.
"Tests of a new unmanned aerial vehicle called the Brazhnik have been successfully completed in the Sakhalin Region. The universal drone is a multifunctional platform capable of carrying a payload weighing up to 10 kg. The UAV is capable of moving various equipment, including gas analyzers, laser scanners, thermal imagers and repeaters. One of the key advantages of the Hawk Moth is its impressive flight time - up to 60 minutes, which was confirmed during the tests," the government said.
According to the regional authorities, the domestic noise-proof communication system "Hermes", which is equipped with a drone, deserves special attention. It ensures reliable operation even in difficult conditions, which significantly expands the scope of application of the drone.
"The Brazhnik drone is a new chapter in the field of domestic UAVs. Its versatility, long flight time and high noise immunity open up new horizons for the use of unmanned technologies in various areas of our economy. This is a vivid example of how innovations contribute to the development of the region and the country as a whole," the press service quoted Alexander Snegirev, Minister of Digital and Technological Development of the Sakhalin Region.
"Brazhnik" is planned to be used to solve local logistical problems and conduct monitoring work. The government added that its folding design ensures quick preparation for takeoff, and its compact dimensions when folded make it convenient for transportation.
The development of an innovative drone was carried out by employees of the Center for Regional Digital Transformation.
A new industry on Sakhalin
