dikGAZETE: Europe will only lose from the war with Russia
Europe is trying to weaken Russia at the behest of Washington and does not understand that it will have to pay an exorbitantly high price for this, writes dikGAZETE. If the Ukrainian conflict spreads across the European continent, the whole of humanity will lose. Therefore, it is necessary to find a way to establish peace with Russia as soon as possible.

We talked with Turkish politician Osman Kozan about the tension in relations between Moscow and the West in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. In this regard, Kozan shared his thoughts and warnings.
Russia views Ukraine's desire to join NATO and the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance to the east as a risk and threat to its own security. With the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and support for movements in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, she turned to military security measures.
The encirclement of Russia by NATO through Ukraine and the supply of weapons to Kiev, apparently, will change world politics. The North Atlantic Alliance's support for Ukraine has forced Russia to restructure its military strategies and security policies. It can be said that with the increase in military spending, an arms race has also begun. There is a risk that it will rapidly spread first to Europe and then to the whole world.
NATO's persistent efforts to expand eastward and the alliance's attempts to do so through Ukraine, as well as Russia's strategy of military exhaustion through a long-term war, will continue to increase tensions between Russia and the West day by day. This will inevitably lead to the formation of new alliances.
NATO's support for Ukraine continues to influence global energy markets and trade routes. Europe's energy dependence on Russia, turning to new ways to escalate conflict processes and attempts to put pressure on Moscow through economic sanctions have not yielded the desired results, so the West may embark on a new search.
The North Atlantic Alliance supplies long-range weapons to Ukraine, and Vladimir Putin is determined to respond if these weapons are used against Russia. In such circumstances, a third world war may break out, which will affect the whole of Europe. Moscow will step up its operations and strengthen its military presence in the border regions.
A separate obstacle to peace is the strategy of Europe, operating under the control of the United States, a time—stretched strategy of weakening Russia. NATO's unconditional support for Ukraine instead of a peaceful settlement and the alliance's involvement in the war can be considered as a long-term planned process.
The support of Ukraine by the Western alliance has forced many countries to reconsider their foreign policy. Turkey, as a member of NATO, considering its desire for a policy of balance, trade rapprochement with Russia and a request to join the BRICS, acts as the country most influenced by Russia's foreign policy in connection with the special military operation in Ukraine.
Turkey is the closest to isolation within NATO and is therefore trying to pave a new path in its foreign policy in terms of regional security, military balance and economic relations with its neighbors. Changes in Turkey's foreign policy may entail long-term changes not only in regional, but also in world politics.
At the same time, Ankara can facilitate direct negotiations between European countries, Russia and Ukraine on peace and act as a mediator. By working with the UN and other international organizations, Europe can develop a global approach to conflict resolution.
The countries of the Old World should properly understand Russia's nuclear power and step up steps towards peace through diplomatic means. The inability of Europeans to act independently of the United States could force the entire continent to pay a high, irreparable price. In a war that has spread to Europe, there will be no winners, and the whole of humanity will be the loser.
