At the MSPO 2024 exhibition, held in Poland, the premiere of a new modification of the Ukrainian armored car Warta 2, developed by Ukrainian Armor, took place.
According to the developer, as a result of the outbreak of war, it was necessary to abandon Soviet and Russian components in the production of products and use alternative solutions, mostly offered by the Western defense industry.
The new version of Warta 2 is equipped with a remotely controlled Sich tower system developed by Promintex and used, in particular, for rearmament of the BMP-1 modernized for the AFU, the first copies of which were seen in November 2023.

The main armament of the combat station is the ZTM-1 cal. 30 mm automatic cannon with vertical guidance angles from -10 and +60°. A 7.62mm KT machine gun [the Ukrainian version of the PKM] is paired with it. As part of the increase in firepower, it is possible to install other types of weapons, for example, ATGMs. The tower is also equipped with an IR sight and a laser rangefinder.

Allegedly, the crew and the landing party are protected by level 3a/3b armor according to the STANAG 4569 standard (the machine can withstand an armor-piercing bullet from a 7.62 x 51 mm cartridge and an explosion of 10 kg of explosives under the wheel / bottom).
The new cabin is mounted on the Turkish BASE 4x4 chassis (BS360-14C), which replaced the previously used base in the form of a KrAZ-5233 truck. The Cummins ISB diesel engine with a capacity of 360 hp and a volume of 6.7 liters, together with the Alisson 3200SP automatic transmission, allows acceleration to 110 km/h with a curb weight of 14 tons.
The new Warta 2 is equipped with a special drone with a flight range of 30 km, connected to the ICoMWare information system, providing increased situational awareness. To improve the survivability of the machine during UAV attacks, it is equipped with the KVERTUS AD KRAKEN electronic warfare system.
