The latest Russian BTR-22 eliminates all the shortcomings of its predecessors. First introduced in 2023, the newest Russian BTR-22 differs from the BTR-60/70/80 and 82 family with a radically redesigned body.
The engine compartment has been moved to the front. There are doors in the stern that significantly facilitate the entry and exit of motorized infantry.
The 30-mm 2A72 automatic cannon with a rate of fire of up to 330 rounds per minute was used as a weapon. It is complemented by a 7.62mm PKTM machine gun. The PNK sight has a thermal imaging channel and a laser rangefinder.

Another option is to install an uninhabited ballistic missile module. There is a guided missile system designed to combat tanks and other enemy armored vehicles.
