Peskov forwarded to the Ministry of Defense the question of the death of the Ernest and Goodwin fighters
The widow of the UAV operator with the call sign "Goodwin" said that it is still unknown where the bodies of her husband and the second deceased volunteer, "Ernest", are located. In their last video, the volunteers stated that they were sent to the assault unit because of a conflict with their superiors. The situation is being handled by the Ministry of Defense. It was also reported that the acting commander of the dead Ernest and Goodwin, Igor Puzik, was detained, but the information turned out to be false.
It is still unknown where the bodies of two volunteer UAV specialists with the call signs "Ernest" (Sergey Gritsai) and "Goodwin" (Dmitry Lysakovsky), who, according to them, were sent to the assault unit after a conflict with their superiors, are located. This was announced by the widow of "Goodwin" with the call sign "Hedgehog" in her Telegram channel.
The situation is being handled by the Ministry of Defense, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, told reporters.
"This is a topic that still concerns the Ministry of Defense more," the Kremlin spokesman said.
According to him, the head of the department, Andrei Belousov, is aware of what happened, "there were instructions from him in this regard."
Has Igor "Evil" Puzyk been detained
On September 16, information appeared on Telegram channels about the detention of Igor Puzik with the call sign "Evil" - the acting commander of the dead "Ernest" and "Goodwin".
"Igor Puzik tried to escape from the SVO zone across the border with the LPR," the Telegram channel "Two Majors" said in a statement .
This information was denied in his Telegram channel by TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
"Colleagues, let's still check the information that you publish. No one has been detained. No one was running anywhere. The commander continues to perform his duties. Stop hype-burning..." - Solovyov urged.
Commenting on the reports of military commanders about the detention of Puzik, his wife Ekaterina Kornienko said that "the harassment goes beyond all bounds of possibility."
"He [Puzyk] was and is on the PPU. Just like us, they didn't move anywhere," Kornienko added in her Telegram channel.
The wife of the "Evil One" also stated that she intends to "defend honor, dignity and an honest name" in Russia.
"Not with hysterical posts and videos. And by other methods provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation," Kornienko clarified.
From UAV operators to attack aircraft
The deaths of Gritsai and Lysakovsky became known on July 13, when war correspondent Yuri Kotenok posted their suicide video on his Telegram channel.
According to the servicemen, they were engaged in reconnaissance with the help of UAVs, but they were sent on a deadly mission, as they themselves reported, because of the conflict with the Belly. The authors of the video accused their commander of having links with Western intelligence, the collapse of the regiment's work and corruption. In the video, they also accused a certain Smolkin and his girlfriend Kristina of drug trafficking, which "all the command" allegedly knows about and has a percentage of it. Lysakovsky noted in the video that he was unlikely to return from the assault.
"I ["Ernest"] and "Goodwin" have decided to go at the moment, because there is an oath, there is a homeland, there is a duty. Such goats, let them live on their own," the serviceman said.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov, learned about the death of servicemen. He instructed his deputy Viktor Goremykin and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov to "sort out the situation," the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
