The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) The Islamic Republic of Iran has successfully launched the Chamran-1 research satellite into orbit. It will be used to test software and hardware for testing orbital maneuvering technology.

Local media called its launch "another impressive step in the country's space program." The device, which weighs 60 kilograms, sent the first signals to Earth a few hours after launch.
In addition to testing orbital maneuvering technologies, its tasks include checking the propulsion subsystems, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of navigation and orientation systems.
The Qaem-100 launch vehicle, which put the satellite into orbit, runs on solid fuel. It consists of three stages. The rocket was created by specialists of the Aerospace Forces of the IRGC.
