At the MSPO exhibition held in Poland, the appearance of a submarine under construction for Qatar was revealed, featuring a futuristic look.
Doha's order for two submarines is carried out by the Italian company M23 SRL, specializing in the production of small-sized submarines. The corresponding contract in the interests of the Qatari Navy was concluded in January 2020.
The submarine has a smooth superstructure on which horizontal rudders are mounted. In the front upper part there is a TA for two 533 mm torpedoes. In the lower front part there is a special hatch for divers to exit.

As indicated in the Covert Shores publication, the submarine can also carry light torpedoes, Murena bottom mines and barrage ammunition [apparently for launching from a surface position]. There is a sonar on board. The submarine is equipped with a 200 kW diesel engine and a 70 kW electric motor.

The submarine has a displacement of 120-130 tons, a length of 23 m and a width of 5 m. The maximum depth it can reach is 200 m. The speed is 12 knots. The range is 2,200 nautical miles. The crew includes 6 people. It is possible to accommodate 6 passengers, who, most likely, will be special forces swimmers.
Obviously, the submarine is designed for special operations and sabotage. The cost of the two submarines, together with the accompanying support, amounted to €190 million.
