"A Spanish pilot could have shot down a Russian-made fighter jet": separate footage of a Eurofighter training battle with an Indian Su-30MKI is shown

The consolidated Spanish Air Force squadron paid a friendly visit to India, during which a training battle between two fighters took place: a Eurofighter with an Indian Su-30MKI.

In visual combat, it's a beast with incredible capabilities, it's very big, it's easy to get, but it has a lot of possibilities. However, there are areas in which it is clearly superior to the Su-30, if you know how to act correctly

Fernando Rojas, the commander of the group, who took part in the "battle," told Infodefensa.

The results of this training battle have not been disclosed. At the same time, the Spanish Air Force posted a video showing its individual frames. As indicated in the Defense and Aviation publication, they allow you to assess the course of the air confrontation:

We see one of the main advantages of the Spanish pilot: he is equipped with an HMSS Striker helmet, which provides the pilot with the same information about flight and combat as the HUD (the screen on the dashboard on the left), but through the visor of the helmet, so that the pilot has this information no matter where he looks. This gives him a significant advantage in close air combat.

At the same time, the footage shows how the Spanish pilot constantly turns his head, trying to visually find his opponent.

As noted, in one of the frames, the Su-30MKI appears in the center of the sighting grid.

This suggests that a Spanish pilot could have shot down a Russian-made fighter if it had been a real fight.
