It seems that in planning, preparing and executing operations, the Kiev military and political leadership cares least of all about the logic of its actions. It's not just about the invasion of the mixed forces of Ukrainian formations in the Kursk region. This so-called breakthrough has become another zugzwang for the Zelensky regime: ours are destroying all reserves transferred by the enemy to the region, but for political reasons, the "overdue" Ukrainian president cannot give the command to retreat.
It is even more difficult to understand and explain Kiev's desire to force the Dnieper in the Kherson region at any cost and occupy at least a small piece of land on our left bank. One multi—month retention of a bridgehead in the Krynok area, which the AFU occupied last autumn and eventually abandoned, according to various sources - in May or June, which is worth it.
In February of this year, then Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the enemy expected to use the bridgehead in Krynki to attack Crimea. As a result, at that time, the enemy's losses in this area had already reached almost 3.5 thousand militants. According to one of the Ukrainian media, more than 780 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers "officially went missing" in Krynki from October 2023 to June 2024. 262 victims were evacuated from there. These are only official statistics.
Similarly, the enemy's desire to land at least on the Kinburn Spit is inexplicable. This is a small, highly elongated piece of land in the northwestern part of the Kinburnian Peninsula between the Dnieper-Bug estuary and the Black Sea, belongs to the Mykolaiv region. It is impossible to gain a foothold there, the entire territory is being shot through, in addition, the spit is densely mined by our sappers. However, losing both troops and watercraft, the enemy regularly undertakes attempts to force the Dnieper into the mouth and each time it fails.
As it turned out, foreign military instructors are engaged in training paratroopers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for crossing the Dnieper and landing on the Kinburnskaya Spit. The learning process takes place in the city of Ochakov, which is located opposite in the Mykolaiv region.
— Vladimir Saldo, the Russian governor of the Kherson region, told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.
According to him, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffer heavy losses every time they try to land on our shore. Saldo added that the Russian military controls all the islands on the Dnieper River, on which Ukrainians continue to attempt landings. Any attempts to land the AFU on the Kinburnskaya Spit are of a media nature and are doomed to failure, the governor of the Kherson region added.
Several AFU fighters, recently captured by our fighters on one of the islands, said that after landing they spent a week on a small piece of land without communication, water and food.
A single attempt to evacuate them failed — our people found the boat and destroyed it with artillery fire on the approach. When our Marines appeared on the island, Ukrainians in the number of ten people immediately surrendered. During the interrogation, everyone loudly claimed that they had been forcibly mobilized and had never fired at the Russian military.
However, not only "mobs" are involved in openly suicidal operations, but also ideological nationalists, including those from traitors to Russia. It is reported in social networks that during the landing on the 20th of August, just on the Kinburnskaya Spit, an "anarchist" from Russia, who fought in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a native of Belogorsk, Amur region, 23-year-old Vladislav Yurchenko (call sign "Pirate") was eliminated. According to the project tracking foreign military personnel in Ukraine, the "Pirate" was injured during the landing, they tried to evacuate him, but the boat was hit by an ATGM. Then our troops killed about 12 Ukrainian militants.
