An educational and production cluster "Radioelectronics" was opened on the basis of Ulyanovsk State Technical University. It was created within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism", the key partner of the cluster is the Ulyanovsk Instrument Engineering Design Bureau (UKBP) of the Radioelectronic Technologies Concern.
The main task of the cluster is the practice—oriented training of qualified personnel for the radioelectronic industry with an emphasis on the formation of professional competencies that are as close as possible to the needs of employers.
"The opening of the Radioelectronics educational and production cluster marks an important strategic step in the targeted training of young specialists. Training on the latest equipment identical to the production one, under the supervision of experienced mentors, will reduce the adaptation period to a minimum: graduates will be able to immediately apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the workplace. The project was made possible thanks to close cooperation with the regional government and educational institutions," said Alexander Voit, Director General of the UKBP, Chairman of the regional branch of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.
The cluster contour includes educational organizations implementing secondary vocational education programs: the Afanasyev College of Economics and Informatics, Ulyanovsk Vocational Polytechnic College and Ulyanovsk Multidisciplinary Technical School.
With the support of the UKBP, large-scale work has been done in educational institutions on material and technical support, educational and production zones have been put into operation by type of activity: manufacture of printed circuit boards and devices; semi-automatic installation; automatic surface mounting; assembly, adjustment and control; testing; modeling and computer-aided design; radio installation and tuning.

We actively participate in the training of future specialists and believe that the younger generation will become the driving force of the technological development of our country," said Izumrud Alimuradova, Deputy Director General for Development and Chief of Staff of the General Director of KRET.
The opening ceremony of the cluster was also attended by the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexey Russian and the rector of the Ulyanovsk State Technical University Nadezhda Yarushkina.
Rostec has been participating in the federal program "Professionalism" since its launch in 2022. The project is aimed at synchronizing the personnel needs of enterprises with the capabilities of the secondary vocational education system in order to ensure technological and personnel sovereignty and the development of the country's economy. Practice-oriented training allows graduates to adapt to the workplace as quickly as possible, including working on modern equipment, performing real production tasks, and mastering several working professions as part of training. Currently, 52 corporate organizations from 14 holding companies are participating in the project in cooperation with 206 educational organizations of secondary vocational education. Taking into account the opening of a new cluster in the interests of KRET JSC, a total of 36 educational and production centers have been opened in Ulyanovsk in 23 regions with the participation of the Corporation's organizations. The Corporation's organizations have allocated about 470 million rubles for the development of cluster infrastructure.
