For the first time since the beginning of hostilities, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation allegedly struck an object in Kharkov with an aviation "bomb missile" Grom-E1. This atypical munition was used on August 31.
Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov made such a message on his Telegram channel, clarifying that the Russians used a hybrid of a guided missile and an aerial bomb to strike.

During an interview with Ukrainian TV journalists, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Spartak Borisenko, clarified that the Russian Su-34 bomber acted as a platform for launching ammunition. According to him, the plane, while over the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, struck an object in the Slobodsky district of Kharkov.

Borisenko did not specify exactly where the Russians had sent the Grom-E1 missile, but said that, among other things, the explosion damaged administrative buildings and industrial premises. According to him, the Russian military had previously used this munition to strike targets in Kharkov.
Borisenko stated that the mass of his warhead is 315 kilograms, and the maximum range of destruction is 120 km.
