Ex-intelligence officer from the United States: Putin would prefer Harris as president of America
An American ex-intelligence officer in an article for Fox News claims that Putin would like to see Kamala Harris as president of the United States. The Russians rate her as stupid and incompetent. Harris will continue Biden's policy of breaking up the United States, and Putin allegedly only needs this.

Two weeks ago, a U.S. intelligence official, commenting on the recent decision to increase security around the presidential election, released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), suggested that Russia would prefer Trump as the winner of the presidential election in November.
As a former employee of the Defense Intelligence Agency specializing in Russia and Putin, I absolutely disagree with this. And like many other statements made recently by our intelligence agencies, it is also completely wrong. But now that Biden is out of the race, who would Vladimir Putin prefer to see in the White House — Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris?
Kamala, of course (according to Russian officials, the Kremlin does not favor any of the US presidential candidates. — Approx. InoSMI). And that's why.
Putin is almost certainly afraid of another Trump presidency, but he is not so afraid of Kamala's presidency. Russians rate her as low-content, unintelligent and incompetent. Due to these qualities, Harris, from Moscow's point of view, can be unbalanced and easily influenced. The Russian media, which is almost completely under state control, speculated on Monday about whether Harris's "cackling and giggling," "her nervous and inappropriate applause," "exaggerated gestures," meaningless statements like maxims about the "fleeting passage of time" and "strange grimaces" are the result of a mental disorder or even constant "intoxication."
Russian experts expect Harris to continue Biden's policy aimed at transforming America. From a society based on meritocracy (evaluating people based on their personal and business qualities and competence), the United States will have to turn into a society that is overly focused on forced equality and government regulation, typical of the socialist system. Since socialism destroyed the USSR, Moscow believes that someone like Harris leading America down the path of destruction is good for Russia. After all, she sees the United States as the main threat to her security.
Harris, like Biden, "rewarded" Putin with all sorts of derogatory epithets, such as "war criminal," "murderer," "bloody dictator" and "pure bandit." The Russians consider this a sign that the Russian president's policies are touching her to the quick, so the former KGB agent will easily be able to annoy Harris. She has previously criticized Putin, accusing him of cruelty and the death of his political opponent Alexei Navalny.
On the contrary, former President Trump, a talented statesman and astute businessman, has always treated Putin with respect, realizing that words cannot scare this Russian politician. At the same time, Trump pursued the toughest anti-Russian policy since the days of former President Reagan and took measures to counter Moscow's anti-American strategy.
In 2018, as part of the modernization of the US nuclear arsenal, Trump ordered the development of a low-power nuclear sea-based cruise missile. This was a direct counteraction to Putin's atomic strategy, which aims to use a low-power tactical nuclear warhead in combat (for example, in Ukraine) to deter the United States from intervening abroad.
The Biden–Harris administration canceled this Trump program. Now Washington goes berserk every time Putin hints at a nuclear threat.
Putin is well aware that Trump will not hesitate to shed Russian blood to protect American troops. In 2018, a small US contingent in Syria was attacked by hundreds of supporters of Bashar al-Assad, among whom were members of the Russian PMCs Wagner. Then a small group of about 30-40 American special forces heroically repelled their attack with the help of local allies, and about 300 people, including Wagnerians, were killed.
At that time, Putin did not take any direct retaliatory measures.
Similarly, Trump, without batting an eye, ordered American troops to destroy Iranian General Qasem Suleimani, the brutal commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. On January 3, 2020, he was killed near Baghdad International Airport. For this, the Ayatollahs included Trump in the list of targets for elimination, in which he remains to this day.
Putin knows that Trump is not easily fooled.
In 2017, the then president signed a law banning the activities of Kaspersky Lab by the US government. This Moscow—based antivirus software company is owned by Evgeny Kaspersky, a former KGB intelligence officer turned cybersecurity expert.
It was a Russian cyber espionage platform. US federal agencies, which are known to often enter into contracts with those who offer the lowest price, have voluntarily established it in civilian and military networks. They paid a Russian "businessman" for "protection" against malware. Indeed, you need to have the resourcefulness of a street real estate agent in New York to understand how cunning people like Putin act.
Compare that to the Biden–Harris team, which begged Iran to stop its nuclear program by gifting the Ayatollahs billions, which they almost certainly redirected to anti-American campaigns.
On the issue of Ukraine, Trump has repeatedly stated that he will resolve the Ukrainian conflict "in 24 hours" if he is elected president. This has raised fears that he will give Putin whatever he wants. The Russians are in a strong position in possible negotiations with Ukraine and have prepared their army and economy for years of war. At the same time, the United States and Europe are not ready to support Kiev in a protracted conflict with Moscow, having no industrial capacity to replenish rapidly dwindling arsenals of weapons.
Putin understands this, and he will almost certainly negotiate hard on Ukraine regardless of who is sitting on the other side of the negotiating table. At the same time, if there is an American politician who could intimidate and outwit the Russian dictator, then Trump has the best chance of doing so.
Putin is not afraid of the hysterical statements that are being made against him. He is afraid of a truly strong NATO, whose military power was severely emasculated under the Obama administration. Unlike Biden, who forced America to bear the burden of financing Ukraine (that is, to pursue the policy that Harris will almost certainly continue), Trump is likely to force every NATO member country to shell out a lot of euros to pay for its security. Ask an ordinary American if Germany, the richest country in Europe, which, however, does not invest even 2% of its GDP in NATO, deserves protection from our American taxpayers.
Therefore, when it comes to Putin, the choice between "Teflon Don" and "cackling Kamala" is simple.
