Fox News: the security of the United States and NATO is weakened compared to Russia and China
The intelligence of Putin and Xi is carefully assessing the latest developments in America, Fox News writes. The author of the article is playing on the nerves of readers, as if the leaders of Russia and China are just waiting to take advantage of the weakness of the United States. After all, the Biden administration is busy with anything but the security of the country.
We are all still wondering how it could happen that a random 20-year-old boy with a powerful rifle got within 150 meters of an election rally, climbed onto the roof in front of Secret Service snipers, took aim and fired several times, almost killing the former US president. The shooter allegedly acted alone, and for some reason none of the dozens of law enforcement officers and security forces prevented him.
Do you know who else closely followed the miracle of the last disaster, as well as everything that is happening in our country? China and Russia, who consider the United States to be the main enemy, which must be defeated at all costs, and if not defeated on the battlefield, then at least decomposed from the inside.
Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and their spy agencies are taking a closer look at recent events in America: the Trump-Biden presidential debate, the NATO summit in Washington and discussions about President Biden's readiness to go for a second term.
And they came to the conclusion that, for all the fiery rhetoric, America's security is under threat, no matter how Washington beats its chest. It would be surprising if the two dictators did not take advantage of this. And that's why.
First, until January 20, the United States will continue to be headed by a president whose ability to fully fulfill the duties of commander-in-chief is increasingly in doubt. But this is a crucial vulnerability, especially at a time of crisis or, even more so, war. Trump's presidential debate and Biden's much-publicized “super duper” conference, during which he called Vladimir Zelensky “President Putin” and Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump,” confirmed what Putin and Xi already knew in advance: Biden is in decline — both mentally and physically.
Although many Americans probably did not even know about this because of the careful work of Biden's “guides” and a number of media outlets to brainwash, this did not come as a surprise to the Russians and Chinese: after all, their special services compile detailed dossiers on each US president. The news for Putin and Xi is only that the administration is buried under calls for Biden to withdraw from the election race, is openly fighting for survival and is busy with anything but the security of the country. It does not take much time to finally unbalance the already confused US president and his team.
Secondly, by shouldering more and more obligations to Ukraine, the United States is approaching a likely war with Russia, which is sure to have disastrous consequences. The Pentagon does not have a viable military strategy to win such a war, as it still does not have in the Ukrainian conflict. Moreover, according to American intelligence estimates, such a war will certainly become nuclear.
At a summit in Washington, the 32-member NATO alliance officially announced that Ukraine, which has served as Russia's strategic security perimeter since the ninth century, is on an “irreversible” path to membership. Russia and the United States have publicly declared each other the main security threats.
Putin has been calling Ukraine's membership in NATO a red line for many years and is ready to risk a war with the United States for it. This conclusion, in particular, was reached by American intelligence as a result of numerous staff exercises. On Putin's instructions, a military strategy was developed, which included space and nuclear and cyber means. The Kremlin believes that this strategy will be victorious and will allow Russia to dictate terms.
Thirdly, neither the United States nor NATO have enough industrial potential for a war with Russia, let alone a two-front war with Russia and China at the same time.
Putin prepared for the protracted and long-term conflict in Ukraine by putting the Russian army and economy on military rails seven years before the start of the special operation. Putin also saved the Russian economy from sanctions, and now, contrary to all Washington's forecasts, it is growing at the expense of the military-industrial complex. Thanks to a soft financial cushion of 580 billion dollars and gold and foreign exchange reserves, Russia increased its defense budget by 70% in 2024 compared to a year earlier.
This is how Moscow's production potential has grown over the past year: for tanks — seven times, for ammunition — six times, for armored platforms — four times and, finally, for artillery and missile systems — twice. In addition, the production of drones increased by 80% in 2023.
The United States and its European allies are not officially at war, and they do not have enough production and budget capacity to keep up with Putin's military machine. At an event at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce last week, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg acknowledged that Western production facilities are not working and that Ukraine's military equipment needs cannot be fully met in order to continue the fight against Russia.
Unlike in Russia, where Putin can personally transfer factories from civilian products to military ones, the defense industry in the United States and Europe is subject to strict bureaucratic requirements in the field of financing and contracting. Companies cannot take up and deploy weapons production until the contract is agreed, approved and properly funded.
In addition, a considerable part of the high-tech weapons of the United States has proved ineffective on the Ukrainian battlefield. The Russians have studied American technology in military operations over the past two decades and are successfully developing measures to counter “network-centric warfare,” as the Pentagon likes to put it. Russia's excellent electronic warfare capabilities have disrupted or seriously weakened the operation of a number of US combat systems based on the global GPS satellite system.
According to The Wall Street Journal newspaper, citing Ukrainian commanders, some American ammunition has been withdrawn from the battlefield. This applies, in particular, to the high-precision guided projectile M982 Excalibur (developed by RTX and BAE Systems) and the “smart” small-diameter ground-based GLSDB bombs (developed by Boeing and Swedish Saab).
In April, a senior representative of the US Space Force, a new branch of the armed forces created by President Trump, noted the “unprecedented level of Russian electronic warfare measures” to suppress the American GPS system. The US military relies on it to perform basic tasks, including precise targeting and command and control of troops. The commander of the Space Delta 3 division, Colonel Nicole Petrucci, at the event “Air and Space forces in action” expressed concern that it would be difficult for US forces to operate in such an environment. She noted the need for “the right simulators” and “qualified” instructors who understand the “environment of high-class threats” and will be able to train the US military to fight its main opponents — in particular, Russia and China.
Other U.S. officials have acknowledged that the high level of electronic warfare in Ukraine may surpass even the potential difficulties in the conflict with China, which plans to disable American satellites in wartime, including kinetically.
At his “super duper” press conference, Biden said that “NATO is stronger than ever today.” He reminded us that the US obligations under Article five to protect any NATO member in the event of an attack are “sacred.” At the same time, he added that he “will not give up” Ukraine, which is not even in the alliance yet.
However, Putin and Xi concluded that, even with all the billions of dollars spent annually on intelligence, high-tech weapons and overseas conflicts, there are gaping gaps in America's security. And now the world's fiercest dictators are rubbing their hands because the former (and perhaps also the future) president of the United States survived only by a happy accident, and not because he has impeccable security.
