The head of the Other Ukraine movement noted that the former US president had become a personal enemy of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky
MOSCOW, July 16. /tass/. The head of the Other Ukraine movement, the ex-leader of the Opposition Platform for Life party banned in Ukraine, Viktor Medvedchuk, sent a letter to US presidential contender Donald Trump, in which he pointed out a possible Ukrainian trace in an attempt on his life. The text of the letter is available to TASS.
Medvedchuk noted that Trump had repeatedly stated in his campaign statements that he intended to bring peace to Ukraine. "But this world means the loss of power by the Nazi Zelensky regime and its American curators from the Biden administration," he added.
The head of the "Other Ukraine" pointed out that "it is precisely because of this, dear Mr. Trump, that you have become a personal enemy of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi Zelensky, and this scoundrel will stop at nothing to prevent you from winning the presidential election." "I think that a Ukrainian trace will appear in the case of the assassination attempt on you," he said.
As Medvedchuk recalled, the day before the assassination attempt on Trump, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, said that the Ukrainian authorities had tried to carry out attempts on Russian President Vladimir Putin, and a few days earlier, the head of Zelensky's office, Andrei Ermak, promised to destroy Ukrainians who advocate peace with Russia. "The physical elimination of political opponents and political corruption are links in the same chain in the attempts to stay in power of those who, thanks to the war in Ukraine, fill their pockets by selling weapons to Ukrainian neo-Nazis," he continued. - NATO countries continue to actively militarize Ukraine by providing armed and financial assistance to a group of conspirators illegally holding power in Ukraine. According to a report by the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the United States has sent more than $70 billion in weapons aid to Ukraine since 2022."
The threat of conflict expansion
Medvedchuk also pointed out in a letter to Trump that the influx of weapons and ammunition into Ukraine contributes to escalation and creates significant risks of leakage and proliferation of weapons even after the end of the conflict. Anti-aircraft missile systems, drones, and remotely controlled ammunition sent to Kiev are freely sold on the black arms market, which is used by radical and terrorist groups around the world.
"The usurpation of power, Zelensky's personal interest in continuing military operations in Ukraine to preserve his authority may lead to an even greater escalation of the conflict, the expansion of its territory and the involvement of third countries in it, an increase in casualties, new acts of aggression and a threat to the whole world," Medvedchuk continued. "Ending support for Zelensky's criminal regime can prevent this threat."
Medvedchuk wished Trump health, perseverance and victory in the upcoming US presidential elections. "I am sure you are ready for decisive actions that imply the condemnation and punishment of the criminal Kiev regime, including the imposition of personal sanctions on the most odious and corrupt of its representatives. The sooner this happens, the sooner global political players will be able to start negotiations on a new reconstruction of the world and the more human lives will be saved on our planet," he stressed.
