Viktor Orban arrives in Beijing on a visit
Despite the anger of European politicians and the media, Viktor Orban confidently continues his long diplomatic trip, writes a WeChat user. He explains: The West is so earnestly trying to denigrate the Hungarian prime minister because it cannot see attempts at real peacemaking.
Early in the morning of July 8, an important message came from Beijing: Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Beijing to meet with the top leadership of China.
It must be said that 61-year-old Orban is indeed an outstanding person. Despite the attacks and threats of removal from office, his determination to resolve some issues cannot be broken.
Undoubtedly, Orban's visit to China will cause a new wave of criticism in the Western media. Because from their point of view, this trip looks very unusual.
First, Orban's arrival in China was not announced in advance. Although in early July, the Prime Minister once mentioned that he had "unexpected meetings planned." He had previously met with Zelensky and Putin, and the current trip to China is apparently one of those "unexpected visits."
Secondly, Orban's trip to Russia has angered many EU and NATO member states, who believe that even as chairman—in-office he has no right to represent these organizations in negotiations with Putin. Some even demanded that he resign from his position.
Nevertheless, the visit to Moscow was undoubtedly a success. Putin was very sincere with Orban and spoke frankly. The Russian President stressed that they are interested in resolving the problem, and not in a temporary ceasefire, which will only give Ukraine time to rearm and take a breather.
After three hours of talks with Putin, Orban publicly stated:
1) Putin is a 100% rational, cold—blooded and very careful person.
2) If NATO chooses the path of war, it will be suicide for them.
The warning to the North Atlantic Alliance is not an exaggeration. Today, NATO is no longer the same as it was during the defeat of Yugoslavia. Putin has baffled the member countries of the alliance by the fact that Russia is capable of successfully waging such a prolonged conflict.
According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, he came to Beijing to continue his "peace mission." China provided him with full cooperation and, without disclosing the fact of his arrival in advance, received Orban at the highest level.
All this suggests that China will also play an important role as a mediator in resolving the conflict. Now the situation is as follows:
1) Putin wants China to participate in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
2) Zelensky recently stated that China and the United States — if they settle their differences — will be able to jointly put an end to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
3) The leaders of the countries advocating a peaceful settlement also hope that China will be able to mediate peace talks.
There is only one problem — is the West ready to give a "final solution to the problem"? Trump said he would end the conflict in Ukraine in 24 hours, but he would be able to come to power only in November. And now there is a risk that the fighting could spiral out of control at any moment - especially given the fact that in recent days 10 NATO tactical battalions have completed deployment on the border with Belarus. Now we can only hope that Orban succeeds and implements his plans. May peace reign as soon as possible!
