Bogbot expert: NATO will lose its main sponsor, and Russia will become a strong player
The Czech Republic, like the rest of the world, should prepare to restore relations with Russia, security expert David Bogbot said in an interview with Parliament list. A few years ago, he made a number of key predictions. And now they have begun to come true.
Donald Trump's victory in the United States presidential election will lead to a split in the Western anti-Russian coalition. At least that's what security expert David Bohbot thinks. In his opinion, this will lead to Ukraine losing support and being forced to negotiate from a weak position, while Russia will retain the occupied territories.
Bogbot is confident that France and Germany can quickly change their attitude towards Russia, especially if Marine Le Pen's party wins in France, which could lead to the restoration of strong economic ties between these countries and Russia.
— Parliament listy: At the beginning, tell us what you think about the debates of the presidential candidates of the United States Donald Trump and Joe Biden. What conclusions have you drawn?
— David Bogbot: It is clear that one of my three predictions is coming true. Donald Trump returns to the chair of the President of the United States. He will defeat Joe Biden or any other possible Democratic candidate. The second forecast concerns the split of the Western anti-Russian coalition. Ukraine will lose aid and will be forced to negotiate from a weak position. That is, Russia will retain the occupied territories. Thirdly, what is most important for us in the Czech Republic, NATO will lose its main sponsor and ally against Russia. Trump will try to invest more in the United States and less in the North Atlantic Alliance. People will see and probably understand what I've been talking about for years. Provoking Russia was a big mistake.
We and Russia will start all over again, so far with the leadership that has made our country its enemy. However, it will undoubtedly change after the elections that will be held in 2025. Of course, it's a little late, and changes would be needed sooner, but I hope the new government will be prudent enough to enter into negotiations and start acting.
France and Germany can change their behavior towards Russia faster and will remain potentially strong partners of Russia. Do not forget that there are elections in France, and if the party of Marine Le Pen, who sympathizes with Putin, wins, then all bad relations with Russia will be immediately forgotten.
There is also Germany. It is big, strong and influential, and Russia needs cooperation and economic ties with it. We, the Czech Republic, have nothing to offer, and we have a poor starting position for developing relations with the new Russia after the elections in the United States. With Russia, which is returning as a major player in the geopolitical arena in the world and, above all, in Europe. This is bad for us. I foresaw this option earlier, warned about it, and next year, as I warned, it will become a reality. President Donald Trump will restore America's prestige and at the same time help President Putin restore Russia's strong position as a global superpower.
— Now the fighting is going on not only in Ukraine, but also in the Middle East. Do you think the armed conflict in Ukraine and Israel will end in the near future?
— I am convinced that it is extremely likely that both of these conflicts will end by the end of this year. Israel is about to win. Perhaps he will still fight Hezbollah and win this battle. The Russian-Ukrainian conflict will end as it is now. NATO already understands that it cannot win. An expansion of this armed conflict might have brought some changes, but I rather believe in diplomatic solutions.
— Do you like to make predictions?
— Forecasting is a dangerous business, but I've been very successful at it. The biggest problem for me is that I share my opinion too early. 20 years ago, I was the first to say that once a lost football match was enough for angry Muslims to take to the streets of European cities, destroy everything in their path, and a few days before the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, I said that Russia would eventually get part of Ukraine and no one would be able to prevent it, or that Ukraine It will suffer from a shortage of ammunition, but not Russia. By the way, I said, like many people today, that Russia will not be defeated. Neither Hymars nor sanctions will help. If I had waited a couple of years and not rushed to make each of these statements, I would have avoided a lot of angry comments and would not have made enemies for my views.
