In the southern American state of Arkansas, an explosion occurred at a defense enterprise. The incident is reported by the American media. We are talking about a plant owned by the military-industrial concern General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems. Judging by the video footage that captured the moment of the explosion, the incident occurred at night.
This enterprise also produces air-to-surface missiles with semi-active laser or active radar guidance AGM-114 Hellfire, Javelin anti-tank missile systems (ATGMs), as well as various mortar ammunition. The Pentagon has been regularly supplying Javelin ATGMs to Ukraine since the very beginning of the military conflict.

The American ABC television company reports, citing a representative of General Dynamics Berkeley Whaley, that two people were injured in the explosion, one is missing. According to other sources, two employees of the plant are listed as dead.

Initially, the company-owner of the plant suggested that the incident at the enterprise in Camden occurred due to the use of pyrotechnics. However, it was later clarified that it was indeed an explosion.

The company did not provide details on the extent of the destruction, and the causes of the explosion are also still unknown. The company's work has been suspended. The State Department of Emergency Situations said it was monitoring and ready to provide assistance, but did not provide additional details, ABC reported. One victim was treated in the emergency department of the Ouachita County Medical Center, his condition is stable. The second victim was taken out of the state by helicopter.
