Russian Helicopters Holding Company of Rostec State Corporation presented a new Production and training Center in Tatarstan. The complex was built at the Kazan Helicopter Plant and will annually train up to 3,500 specialists for industrial enterprises.

The event was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, the RAIS of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec State Corporation, and the management of the Russian Helicopters holding company, First Deputy Chairman of VEB.Russian Federation Alexander Braverman.

The production and Training center has 15 production sites, 12 laboratories and 21 classrooms. It is planned to train specialists of a wide profile who master several qualifications at once. Educational programs will help students gain practical skills that are in demand at enterprises.

"The production and Training center was created to train highly qualified workers, taking into account the needs of Tatarstan enterprises. This is the first facility of this level in the region. At the end of 2023, an agreement was signed between the Republic of Tatarstan and Rostec State Corporation on the implementation of a training system in the new center in accordance with the current tasks of our industry. This is a big step to resolve issues related to the shortage of personnel in various industries," said Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Educational programs have been developed for the training of specialists in eight areas and 38 professions in demand in the industry. In addition, current employees of enterprises will be able to improve their qualifications and undergo retraining at the center. The complex will also allow you to train mentors and craftsmen for production.

"Any modern production is, first of all, highly qualified specialists, and dynamic changes in industry dictate new requirements for their education. Since 2019, we have been practicing the format of production and training centers. The creation of such centers provides a fundamentally new level of training, allows students to gain advanced knowledge and in-demand specialties. At the same time, priority is given to practice – it takes 70% of the study time. We opened the first such complex in Ufa, then in Moscow. Last year, we signed agreements on cooperation in training specialists with the Perm Region and the Yaroslavl Region, as well as with Tatarstan. And today we can already evaluate the implementation of this project here in Kazan," said Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov.

The first set of the center was formed in the interests of the KVZ. It included students of the Kazan Aviation Technical College named after P.V. Dementiev and employees of the enterprise. They have already started theoretical classes, and they will receive practical skills at the new center.

"In the training center, it will be possible to master the most demanded specialties for production. Among them are the operator of software–controlled machines, a turner, a milling machine operator, a machine adjuster and many others. We will continue to cooperate both with colleges within the framework of targeted student education and with universities. This is a great opportunity for students to get a sought–after specialty and put their knowledge into practice," said Mikhail Rybakov, Deputy General Director of the Russian Helicopters Holding Company for ensuring technological development and production efficiency.

Anyone with a basic general education or higher can apply for training at the center.

The project was implemented with the support of PSB Bank and the State Development Corporation VEB.RF. As noted by the first Deputy Chairman of VEB.Russian Federation Alexander Braverman, financing was carried out within the framework of the Cluster Investment Program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia with the involvement of loan funds from PSB Bank under the guarantee of VEB.The Russian Federation, providing a preferential interest rate in the investment phase.

The guests of the presentation also visited other facilities and workshops of the enterprise, inspecting modern helicopter manufacturing. At the end of the event, employees of the Kazan Helicopter Plant and the Russian Helicopters Holding Company were awarded state awards.
