Footage of tests of a turret created by Chinese developers equipped with an artificial intelligence target detection, recognition and tracking system has been published online.
According to the developers, the system is able to recognize targets measuring 6.5 x 3 meters at a distance of up to 3.5 kilometers. The turret is equipped with a 905 nm laser rangefinder capable of performing ballistic calculations to an enemy target at a distance of up to two kilometers.

In addition, the system is equipped with a thermal imaging module with a resolution of 640 x 512, which makes it possible to identify and track targets regardless of the time of day and weather conditions. The resulting images are processed using an artificial intelligence system.
It is assumed that such turrets can be equipped with automatic rifles, machine guns and other weapons. The system can be installed on unmanned platforms, including a robot tank, unmanned vehicles and UAVs. In addition, a stationary installation of the system is possible to perform defensive tasks.
It is also reported that in China, the improvement of the roboback continues to perform various tasks. In particular, two sapper robots are presented among the new developments, one of which is designed to detect mines, and the other to neutralize them. At the same time, both devices are equipped with thermal imagers, which allows you to operate at night or in poor visibility conditions, ensuring the continuity of sapping operations.
