The Pokrov drone suppression system was transferred to the Orlyonok Children's Center
MOSCOW, June 4 - RIA Novosti. The Pokrov drone suppression system has been transferred to the Orlyonok All-Russian Children's Center to protect children from drones, Vadim Tsyganov, project manager and creator of this system, told RIA Novosti.
On the eve of Children's Day, which was celebrated in Russia on June 1, the family of Vika and Vadim Tsyganov, as well as representatives of the Kuban Special Training center and members of the Bars-16 special squad, handed over the electronic warfare system (EW) to suppress drones to Orlyonk.
"The Pokrov UAV suppression system blocks the control and video transmission channels of the UAV by generating a powerful electromagnetic pulse at the frequencies of drones. The devices can be used in outdoor conditions thanks to a special IP67 sealed enclosure," Tsyganov said.
He stressed that the system is already in the "Eaglet".
"We have brought everything that is necessary, but if something is missing, our specialists will test it and (we - ed.) will deliver it. It is necessary to close the children, because this is our future," said Tsyganov.
According to him, the system will ensure the safety of children in the "Eaglet" during mass events: concerts, sports festivals and holidays. Currently, one set has been transferred to Orlyonok, and two more are expected to arrive. The equipment works flawlessly, is safe for health, identifies the UAV and suppresses its capabilities, said Tsyganov.
"I would like to work ahead of the curve, to exclude possible sabotage, because people on the other side have lost their sanity, conscience, intelligence and honor. This area should be invulnerable and guarded, which is why we brought a very cool and reliable system here.: it is called the "Intercession", which we named after the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. The guys who came here to install this system checked in battles: everything works," Vadim's wife, singer and fashion designer Vika Tsyganova, told RIA Novosti.
This system has been repeatedly used on the front line by the fighters of the special detachment "Bars-16", who will set it up, as well as train the staff of the department of the Russian Guard, who are responsible for security on the territory of the "Eaglet".
"This equipment will "cover" the sky for children, because they took me out under this equipment when I was injured. It works and should definitely be in your center. I remember with gratitude all the people who participate in this and help this program," said Russian actor, fighter of the special forces "Bars-16" Kuban Gesha Menshikov.
The All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" is a federal state budgetary educational institution for children and adolescents aged 11-16 years. During the year, Orlyonok, which is located on the Black Sea in the Tuapse region, receives more than 20 thousand children from all regions of the Russian Federation, countries of the far and near abroad. At the same time, 3.5 thousand children can relax in the center in summer and 1.5 thousand in winter.
In 2012, the All-Russian Children's Center was awarded the status of a UNESCO Associated School.
